Tried training chest with light weights tonight..didn't go so well.
Pec started playing up again and has felt constantly flexed all night. Sh*t scared of tearing it so looks like no chest training for a few weeks (at least..).
Legs, light as f*ck back work and as much shoulders/tris as a f*cked up bicep on one side and pain in the dick pec on the other will allow..fun.Last edited by Larfleeze; 12-23-2013 at 12:26 AM.

Bit of both; I'm pretty injury prone, had tendon trouble since I was like 13, partially snapped one in my right knee playing football and had some trouble with the other one and my hamstrings. Still gives me chit sometimes.
The pec I wasn't going heavy (26kg per hand I think) but I think I lowered the dumbbells too far down.
The bicep was from drunken arm wrestling, that's never gonna end well.
cliffs: knees just naturally f*cked, pec maybe partially my fault, bicep half my fault+half alcohol'sLast edited by Larfleeze; 12-23-2013 at 04:02 PM.

Mine personally came as a 50/50 result of pushing it too freely when i was younger and just having a very frail frame.
Imagine a guy that goes into the hundreds of pounds on deadlifts, who hasn't even heard of stuff like "warm up" or "stretch". That's what caused my initial batch of ****, years of thinking i was bulletproof.
The rest i just have to deal with because i wasn't meant to be naturally big, despite my wishes. So when i push the body, it just pushes back. You could say they "just happen".
I'm insanely paranoid about form as a result though, bad form wasn't what caused my injuries. I'd rather stay at tiny weights than compromise form, even a bit.People these days have more reps than brain cells

I'm also banged up from training. When I was 17 I started lifting and reading flex magazine religiously, this continued until I was 22 all through uni. I didn't know about steroids or any of that stuff so I followed the eating and training habits of pro lifters. I did have the internet at the time but never thought to read up on lifting, I used to only use the net for video games.
So eventually I was pressing 45kg dumbels, squatting 180kg, dead lifting around the same, basically doing weights waaaaaaaay heavier than I should because I wanted to be massive and not realising my size was limited by my natty status not my strength. My form was no worse than anyone else's, pretty decent, but the body being a mechanical construct is simply prone to failure when pushed past its limit.
Slowly crushed my l3 or l4 lumbar vertebrae over the years of heavy lifting and so now in an MRI scan I have one feeble vertebrae that is prolapsed slightly and dark grey and thin instead of white and full. I have 3 anchors in my shoulder from a torn labrum. My injuries weren't sudden, it was a slow degeneration with multiple injuries to the same places. Maybe every 8 months I might tweak my back and take a few days or a week off. I would hurt it playing sports like grappling or snowboarding too. My shoulder injury began whilst snowboarding, but eventually was slowly worsened in the gym and then one morning scratching my back at work I managed to pop my shoulder out of joint.
When my injuries aren't playing up I feel 100 percent, but I totally avoid certain things, like dead lifts, seated rows, lying down hamstring curls, heavy squats etc. just isn't worth even coming near a re injury. I have 2 kids the eldest being almost 2 and just carrying them around at the mall etc is enough to put my back into 'close to reinjury' mode lol. If I ever get back into training I wouldn't go heavier than 100kg on squats, 30kg on incline dumbels, etc. diet and condition coupled with reasonable weights is all you need to look close to your natty best IMOLast edited by TheMullah; 12-23-2013 at 05:55 PM.

Never been injured from training crew. Partially because my body is just built to take abuse and partially because I have a high pain tolerance. Once played the rest of a soccer game with a fracture in my leg, obviously didn't know til later.
Trying to take it slightly easier on my body just so I don't pay the price in 20 years. Still do super high volume and heavy training but not as bad as I used to be. Sometimes it pays to have a big structure, although I'll have that awesome aesthetic, small structure look, but I don't mind being thicker

When I played sports I was lean, but still had a big frame. When I started lifting I had eaten/partied my way to being heavier. Never had much upper body mass because I played soccer, but always had pretty good sized thighs. But even when I played soccer I was probably like 180 or so in my senior year, but that just looks thin on my frame.

I think that they should just say, “Hey, if you guys don’t talk, you have to see Hercules In New York.” I guarantee those guys would talk much faster.
