Every time I see your dips I have to remember not to covet your weights. It took me quite a while to work up to unassisted dips. I'm just about ready to add weight. I figure it might be more than a year before I can hit your numbers.

Workout October 10th
You'll be surprised Joel how quickly you can increase the weight you add once you start doing weighted dips.
Deep Rack Squats
154 x 10
220 x 10
242 x 10
(pushed a bit harder here today, had more in me but split my training pants again)
SLDL
220 x 6
286 x 6
352 x 8, 6
(going to stick at this weight for a while and try to increase reps)
Calf Raises (squat machine, 4" block)
500 x 14, 12, 11
Reverse flys - rear delts
55 x 8, 8, 8
(reasonable session).Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.

Hi Joe, there's actually been a last minute change of plan - Ms. Tree-Hugger is out and Ms. Perfect Lips is back in the picture in a big way.
Hi Bob, I havent had a cold or flu for years, but this one is still just lingering. Will be back in the gym tomorrow.Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.

Bonjour!
How goes it today?? Are you feeling better?
Hope the cold/flu has left you alone! This lifestyle is not easy. It takes consistent, disciplined, dedicated effort and sacrifice. It takes planning and focus. Most of all it takes a never-say-die attitude and the balls to keep on keeping on even during those periods when you make no progress!

Still struggling to get in enough sessions each week. However I'm managing to maintain weight and bodyfat pretty steady at 213 and 10.7%, so can't complain I guess.Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.

Thanks Ric.
Now that IS a very tempting offer!!
My training schedule should hopefully return to normal soon. Ms. Perfect Lips lives in a town about 80 minutes from here, and I spend about half the week there - so I've finally bitten the bullet and joined a gym and a golf club over there as well as my gym and golf club in my town. Hopefully three training sessions a week will become regular again.Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.

G'day Steve, thanks mate.
Hi Josie, I'm working on it. I miss you guys too.
Hi JD. Long time no see.
Today will be my first workout at the gym I've joined in Ms. Perfect Lips home town - heaps more equipment than my gym, will probably take most of today's session to find everything I need.Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.

First time at a new gym is always fun.
On the plus side, heaps of equipment my other gym doesn't have, and all weights are in pounds (saving me the trouble of converting for you guys). Also it has adedicated decline station, meaning no more Smith machine (excellent). On the down side, it's light on for small plates to increase weight in small amounts and doesn't have a good dip station.
Reasonably pleased with first session here.Don't believe anything you read on the net. Except this. Well, including this, I suppose.
