why does everyone make such a big deal about hair loss?
Just shave your head completely... i've been buzzing my hair since 16 and i wish i was going bald lol. Won't have to buzz it ever again.

Most of the time if a white guy shaves his head and he is young they think you are some neo nazi skin head, plus most white guys look weird with bald heads, but I think Asian guys have it worse cause they have such a tiny dome and it's not round in the back they have horrible shaped heads.

I read that thick stray hairs on ears, back, and hairs growing long out of the nose, and ears, and nipples and toes is caused by DHT, so if you have those ear hairs and long nose hairs and you are balding it could be from the DHT

So is minoxidil foam worth it for frontal thinning/ recede? I know they cant say it works cuz its not scientifically proven. But what is the success rate for frontal thinning of hair / receding
reps.. not tryin to search whole thread♦ Bay Area Crew ♦

yes it works. as far as i'm aware, the clinical trial they did was only for the crown.
good news is, many users report success with frontal regrowth, or at the very least the hairline stays the same. there's no guaranteed "success rate" since everyone reacts differently.
just a matter of weighing the pros / cons and making a decision.Last edited by z-iron; 08-27-2012 at 01:56 AM.

Main reason was libido crashing...100 percent it has to be the drug its not "in my mind" kind of ****...today was first day i was off it...and today i got rock hard like i used to...First 2 days was okay but third day was the first time i was not able to get fully erect or had troubles ever in my life...5 and 6th day was dismal too.
Im not super bad for hairloss yet i just wanted to preserve and thicken what i had but im gonna go the OP's route got 3 bots of s5 and lipogaine on the way.
Sorry pro fin users but i think some people who say their D stops workin even after 3 pills do have validity to them.

I just used the rogaine foam and s5 cream, and it seemed my hair absorbed more of the product than my scalp. would it better to use this stuff with a buzz cut or really short hair? or does it really matter?

there are so many panic stories on the internet of people saying minoxidil/rogaine destroyed their hairline even more when they used it on the frontal part. the so called shedding phase. and some of it never came back.
dis **** seems more risky then it presents. decisions decisions decisions.♦ Bay Area Crew ♦

That guy is legit. I've seen a bunch of his videos and his advice is very good.
His suggested routine for general use is Finasteride, minoxidil, azelaic acid, regenepure DR, and micro-needle roller. He suggests the Lipogain minoxidil+azelaic acid mix you can find on Amazon, but using foam+azelaic acid cream is fine too. That lipogain stuff is a good product, I just don't like the liquid formulas.
I still don't like finasteride but obviously some people do.Last edited by Blacklabel3; 08-27-2012 at 08:27 PM.

I haven't followed the thread, but FWIW here is my 2 cents:
I am 44, a few years ago I realized my hairline was receding... starting to get that widow's peak look.
I buy Proscar inexpensively online. Take approx 1/5 everyday. I think it has halted my hair loss and possibly even regrown. I don't seem to have any side fx. I have a high sex drive, jizz lots. I do notice some ears and nose hairs, but just attribute that to age.

< how long have you been using it for? Did you stop shedding? >
about 4 years, and yes, I do not see much shedding.
I also do the "rubbing fingernails together" technique (google it)
VERY happy that my hair loss has seemed to be arrested.
What are the cliffs on this thread as far as effective treatments? My buddy was talking about some electrical treatment via a comb. Any proof that works?

you do realize this is also genetic. the amount of hair follicles you are born with are completely genetic.
to say that growing longer hair at uncommon places is related to high DHT is rather stupid. there's more hormones that could play a role in that.
if you want a good indication of your DHT levels look up the secondary male characteristics on the wikipedia page and compare them to your peers. but remember geneitcs play a large role as well. some asian bodybuilders can never grow facial hair, even on a lot of TESTOSTERONE and other compounds. while a mexican or arab guy has a full grown beard at age 17.
anyways read this list and for every item see how strongly it applies to you.
In males, testosterone directly increases size and mass of muscles, vocal cords, and bones, deepening the voice, and changing the shape of the face and skeleton. Converted into DHT in the skin, it accelerates growth of androgen-responsive facial and body hair, but may slow and eventually stop the growth of head hair. Taller stature is largely a result of later puberty and slower epiphyseal fusion.
Growth of body hair, including underarm, abdominal, chest, and pubic hair. Loss of scalp hair androgenic alopecia can also occur.
Greater mass of thigh muscles in front of the femur, rather than behind it as is typical in mature females
Growth of facial hair
Enlargement of larynx (Adam's apple) and deepening of voice[3]
Increased stature; adult males are taller than adult females, on average
Heavier skull and bone structure
Increased muscle mass and strength
Larger hands and feet than women, prepubescent boys, and girls
Larger brain
Square face
Small waist, but wider than females
Broadening of shoulders and chest; shoulders wider than hips[4]
Increased secretions of oil and sweat glands, often causing acne and body odor[3]
Coarsening or rigidity of skin texture due to less subcutaneous fat
Higher waist-to-hip ratio than prepubescent or adult females or prepubescent males, on average
Lower bodyfat percentage than prepubescent or adult females or prepubescent males, on average
Enlargement (growth) of the penis
