Just got accepted into the new Water Treatment operator program in Calgary's Sait.
Did not have enough seats for me in Power eng so they asked me to switch over.
Does anyone know what I'll be doing?
I heard it's basically the same as some Power engineer's but because they aren't propely trained for certain processes (SAGD) that's where I would come in.
Anyone confirm?

Totally all comes down to how you wanna live.
Personally, at my age, I just want to travel, and not get sucked up by Fort Mac's money. Note that Fort Mac is an extremely boring place (personal opinion).
Great place for investors, as the place needs a lot of upgrades, and it is getting very populated.Myprotein's Official Bodybuilding.com Lead Representative ✔

BRB OP lives in the Tundra.... 90k a year to fcuk with polar bears..... Quite the life you have carved out for yourself. Unlike you OP my goal is to move south.... But you cant go any further south then the michigan border because your a canadian and you can only make bank with your stupid job up in the middle of nowhere. Have fun freezing your balls off OP.
At first I was like fuuuuuuuuu..... so jelly. Then I google fort mcmurray and realized he lives at the north pole and has only a highschool education and will make way less if he ever wants to move and experience something other then winter.
BRB current fort mcmurray temp is 64 degrees in the dead of summer, expected thunderstorms and a low of 46 degrees LOLOLOL OP calls this home.

I really don't see the point.
I did a trade at a vocational school found work where I lived and didn't like it but I there was a bunch of guys that went to fort mac and are making a killing. They work 21 days on and 7 days off, 12 hour shifts in **** conditions often working overnights, they have alot of money and nice things but that's just superficial. IMO it would NEVER be worth it unless I was seriously hard up for cash.

If I'm still working the same job within the next few years and dropped out of school I will consider it lol. I'm not very materialistc and it seems like the majority of young people that go out there are and end up blowing all of their money. Srs, everyone I know that works out there owns a nice truck, either a overpriced skidoo or bike and are broke all the time.
