3 = all the knowledge in the world that people already know, so you'll be very smart but that doesn't mean you'll be able to apply all of that knowledge
4 = nice, but there's no reason to take this when you can have 9 because you can just morph into someone that the person you want to get with would find attractive anyways
7 = the potential to make millions or billions of dollars by selling all but one of these pieces to the world's richest people
9 = the abilitiy to morph, a lot of easy money and fun potential

Why aren't more people picking 9?

You can CHANGE people...that's something money cannot buy (actually it can) but not to the extent where you would want.

If you wanted a Ferrari, you could change the head of the company to be completely infatuated with you, and he would give you all products at no cost.

If you wanted protection, change the President of any country and have him order the military to protect you.

If you wanted money, change the minds of top bankers/wealthiest people and have them wire money to you.

I was going to say number 1, and open up a homeless shelter to feed the hungry. But I'd go with number 10. I could use the gold to buy the food and pay for the homeless shelter to feed the hungry, plus potentially do many more great things to help the world.
