Today did the same workout as last monday, 5 sets of 20 regular reps with exactly 5 min rest between each set. First 4 sets did 20, then on the last set I got 24, for a total of 104 reps. That's by far the most I have ever gotten, beating my old previous best of 101, and last weeks total of 99.

Thanks, I dont even know lol. I had 3 great killer pull up workouts last week. And the "one second" workouts are probably helping my regular reps too. Today after the 4th set of 20 reps my biceps weren't as filled with blood like usual. I was thinking I could maybe tie my record of 101 total reps and get 21 on the last set. Then on the 5th set, I busted out 20 reps without stopping then 4 more after hanging for 24 total, I dunno where that came from. Next time I try the same workout, I will be keep the rest the same but go to sets of 21. I have a long term goal to eventually work my way up to 5 sets of 25 reps with exactly 5 min rest between each set.
EPC I know you probably have never done a workout exactly like this (5 min rest exactly between each set timed with a stop watch), but I would love for you to try it sometime. Did you try that "one second" max set today yet?Sig line can't be a novel

Just wondering hwo do you hvae the friggin grip to maintain that?
Do you guys hookgrip for deadlift too?
I'm trying to do heavy Kroc Rows and heavy pull-ups but my grip gives way
Goign to squeeze the fukk out of the bar from now on.
Also have you guys done behind the neck and thumbless? Do tehy focus more on lats.. i've heard if you put pressure on your pinky and go wider its more lats, and more thumb narrower is biceps? Truth?
For biceps bulkers where do u rank weighted chins? Above or below concentration hammer curls bicep curls preacher curls

Question: I'm currently trying to get 90lb 1 rep max but I find it really hard to do 1rm from dead hang. I can feel a lot of pressure in my shoulders and I just don't feel warmed up enough to do it. So if I did one rep first starting with my feet on the floor and then did a second rep where I come back to a complete dead hang, would that second rep count a legit pull up?

Today I worked on "one second" reps again. Did sets of 20 reps again, but I shortened the rest to 8 minutes (from 10) between each set. This time I didnt do anything else between sets, just rested. Ended up getting 9 sets of 20 reps in and then on the 10th set I got 21 reps for a total of 201 "one second" reps.
