i see people saying to go on coupons.com and putting in a zip code that is different from your real zip code to get coupons not normally available in your area. does this work?

Yes you can print off coupons from any zip code with the exception of those few that say they are only good in some states
Bengay coupon was on there last week, it was gone within an hour, I only got 1 fml
Irish spring was in the smartsource coupons in the paper yesterday. I guess I forgot to mention that in the post

I do not get the paper anymore, but I've always printed coupons off http://smartsource.com and they're usually better deals than coupons.com

just went on my first trial run, think I did OK! Nothing fancy, and I'm sure there's ways I could have done better, but not bad for my first time out.
Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent 44 Loads
Normally $5.19 each
Looked through weekly ads and saw that Meijer (grocery store in midwest) had them B1G1 free. That's huge right there. Then I went to the A&H website, filled in the blanks (assigned email to my dummy account) and proceeded to download 2 (the max) $1 off 2 coupons.
So, I went to the store, bought 4, got my $2 off (unfortunately Meijer only doubles up to 50 cents), and got 4 free.
All in all I got 8 bottles of laundry detergent for $20.21 (normal cost would have been $44.42) which comes out to $2.52 a bottle!
I then went on to buy groceries for my work week lunch, and had to pay "regular" price. It pissed me off!
Cliffs: first time out using coupons and deals, saved a bunch of $////

Nice job man!
Good example for everyone else - coupons are just a small part of a great deal. Coupons, on their own, will save you a little bit of money. But match up coupons with a sale or promotion, and you can really save some money. If you happen to have a store coupon, a manufacturer coupon, and a sale, then you're in business.STAND TALL AND SHAKE THE HEAVENS!!

50% savings your first time is good
good luck with your prison goals in 2011
and to go through self checkout at most stores your coupons have to be verified by an attendant|~| EXTREME PULL UPS CREW |~|

It's all in this thread... but here's cliffs (at least from how I understand it)
go to to coupons.com, redplum.com, etc... sites that you can download MANUFACTURER'S coupons. click the ones you think you can use and print them (you can usually print 2-3)
Also go to company websites and ******** pages for more printable MANUFACTURER'S coupons
print them all out, stick them in a binder.
pick up weekly ads at places like walgreens, cvs, and grocery stores. Clip STORE coupons out of the ads and look for great deals.
Bring your manufacturers coupons to those stores and *stack* them with store coupons or deals.
Some places like walgreens or cvs you will only save a couple dollars, BUT they will reward you with a credit that you can use on your next trip. i.e. you will pay $5 for 5 gatorades but you will get a voucher with $5 credit to use on your next trip, so you really paid $0.
The more experienced guys can probably be of more help, but that's what I've learned this afternoon. Be sure to jump on the manufacturer coupons quickly, because they only allow so many to the public, and with "extreme couponing" being so popular nowadays, they disappear pretty fast... especially when these dumb people on EXTREME COUPONING shows get 100 things that they don't even need or want, but simply to add to the excitement (when people like us could actually use these items)////

This, this, this. I have 4-5 $1 coupons for Schick Hydro shaving gel. Now I'm just waiting to find a deal. Coupons will go fast, so if there's a chance that you'll use it before it expires, then print it out. As was mentioned, you can usually only print a coupon 1-3 times PER COMPUTER. If it's a great coupon, then I will print it out at work, and at home. Heck, you can probably go to your public library and print out coupons on every computer they have.
