let's just wrap parentheses everywhere
(48) / (2) * (9+3)
= (48) / (2) * (12)
= 48 / 2 * 12
= 24 * 12

Ive never heard of pemdas, but i used BEDMAS, brackets first so you have
48/2(12)
= 48/24
=2

Brackets first, then divide the 48 by 2, then multiply the 48 with 12 (the brackets) and you get 288
