ITT a jealous uneducated fool who is stuck in a dead end job tries to reason that not going to college is as good as going to college.

You will never get the same promotions as someone with a degree. My mom was an accountant with 12 years experience and when she wanted to be promoted they told her that they wouldnt give her the promotion without a degree. They said they just needed to see a degree no matter what subject it was in and no matter what school it was from and no matter what grades she had. She went to sh!tty Devry and finished her bachelors and as soon as she finished it, they gave her the promotion.

Never went to college, have an amazing job, making 45k a year plus ~6k in bonuses a year and health care etc benefits.
I'm 22 and am getting my own house next year, zero debt, paid off car, paid off superbike, living well.
College is a piece of sh*t, seriously. The world should be run by trade schools not f*cking general college that really teaches you nothing for the job. I learn so much at my job that school has no chance to even come close, there are graduates we hire 5 years older than me without a clue and I have to teach them.

Obviously you're approach to answering the question is way off. Ever heard of Present Value/Future Value? It's been proven countless times that getting a college education(so long as it's done within a reasonable young age) makes I believe 1 million dollars more present value than someone who just graduates high school over a lifetime.
Also someone who just has a high school education will spend a greater amount of time unemployed than someone with a college degree.

-Not necessarily..Today many employer's require some sort of college degree, or a certain amount of credits..Some employer's let you use experience most 3 years or more in lieu of of a college degree or credits. But even then, your previous job most likely required you to have a degree or credits if it is in the same field/category of the job your applying for now, Now there are exceptions aka your middle aged or a babyboomer when coming out of highschool and straight to work was the normal so experience works, or retiree looking for a comback.

I'm talking about the average person not you.
many Western students take longer than four years to graduate. According to the Registrar's office, the average graduation rate is approximately 4.5 years. Figures show that in 2002 only 31.4 percent of first-time freshmen graduated in four years, and only about 53 to 54 percent of these students graduate within six years.

-It depends on the field you want to go into too..Many if not all health care types of employment now require some type of degree Associates or BA or higher...Any type of law enforcement career, most now require a degree or certain amount of credits..I know because my career is law enforcement. Especially federal (which i am), unless you have 3+ years of experience, a BA degree for GS-5 is required or a Masters for GS-6/7. Many of engineering, architectural jobs require some type of trade school or degree now..See where this is going...While not all jobs require a degree, jobs that have JOB SECURITY do..there are never a shortage or criminals, people in need of health care etc.. Sure you can get a job at a powdered metal factory or glass plant, speaking from experience bc my hometown those are the two main industries supplying income for 3/4 of the town...But 3/4 of those people making 70,000 a year are getting laid off 3-4 times a year because there is no job security.
