My memory sucks, picture for reference. Not the first time the Titan stock photos have been deceiving but the gap definitely looks narrower.

Saw that, and all I can say is WOW! They copied the Wenning design, and if it falls in the $400-$500 range it would be an INSANE deal. The big question will be the ROM, if you can get ATG it could be lights out gentleman. Next cheapest option is $995 shipped.

I'm going to guess $599, but If they hit a price point closer to 400-500 with their discounts, I'm a lot more likely to give it a try, assuming early reviews are favorable and they didn't wildly deviate for a design that works. I'm still liking Titan's reverse hyper. I don't know where I'd put a belt squat without jeopardizing #2RackCrew status.

For big stuff like racks? I doubt it with how things are trending. Some titan stuff is kinda **** yeah- staples like a bunch of racks, ghd, belt squat, reverse hyper, would be fine. no titan power bars or anything. there are plenty of PL and crossfit type gyms with a good amount of DIY or no name gear that's no better that hold up fine to heavy lifting for years.

Doubt it, but that's okay because you likely want to pick out one that fits you best anyway. The length of the connection point is a valid concern, if your not able to get directly over the eyebolt it will feel like it's pulling you forward more. The other thing I wonder is how thick they went with the metal tubing. Edge used a MUCH thicker arm than the rest of the support tubing, I'm guessing Titan didn't put that much thought into potential issues. Still though, I might guinea pig this one if the price is right. Worst case scenario it gets sent back and I'll continue saving up for Edge's Standard/Deluxe model. Also, not a fan of the diamond plate top, would rather have a flat rubber top surface like my existing belt squat.

The center arm where the belt connects to does appear shorter than Wenning's, but that may not be a bad thing. I've noticed videos where some guys set up, it almost looks like their heels are right up against that platform edge. Now that said, that center arm length according to Wenning has a lot to do with how true the feel of the weight is relative to a barbell squat. I can't verify if that is accurate or not, just a claim Wenning uses why choosing his design is superior. Another area of concern for me would be the thickness of that diamond plate platform top...not thick enough and a bigger guy using 500lbs+ is going to bend that plate. I personally would go in thinking that there is no belt or the belt that comes with it is total garbage, and getting your own spud belt would be the thing you'd want to do regardless. I'm hoping that Titan can nail this one down, if so, I may have to clear out a little spot in my garage for one, but I'm not holding my breath either.

That's good info, I never paid attention to the videos on the Wenning but always thought it looked like a solid design. As for the relative weight to a regular squat, I thought it was the placement of where the plates were loaded that made the biggest difference. The Titan (similar to Edge's Standard) has the plates pushed forward more towards your center of gravity, making it feel heavier compared to Edge's basic and earlier versions where the plates were loaded farther back on the swing arm. Didn't think about diamond plate thickness, but I think an easy solution there would be to add additional supports (pieces of wood) underneath if the started to bend. Talking myself into this test, waiting to see the final price though and with Black Friday maybe catch it on a 10-15% off sale.

If you look at wennings the middle arm you hook into is slightly longer than where the weight plate horns are so the weight is a tiny bit in front.
I've used a belt squat with an adjustable middle arm and can confirm that when the middle arm is shorter than where you load the plates the movement is a whole lot harder! It also felt a lot mor awkward because it pulls you forward (or at least did for me).
It also doesnt look like the j cups racking system is height adjustable which might be annoying if you train with someone significantly different in height.
I dont mind the checker plate as long as its plenty thick and has good structural support underneath, just wish it didnt have titan written all over it!
I agree though, getting the spud belt that comes with the new rogue belt squat would be ideal with its adjustability.

Someone was asking about this the other day, making a rogue rack wth 2”x3” uprights work with titan t3 weight storage
Here are the specifics that of adapting the Titan weight storage to the rogue rack. Its hard to see but theres a 1/2” thick plywood sacer under the atitan upright and theres a 1/4” per side aluminum spacer on the pull up bar to make them the same width as the as rogue, then they match up perfect.
