I checked the label for the Rawfusion vegan protein and noticed that one serving contains 1846mg of leucine, 3824mg of glutamic acid, 2403mg of aspartic acid and pretty high amounts of other amino acids.
I know that everything in moderation is the way to go, but would one serving of this be alright once a day?

Are some protein powders too high in amino acids?

Serious question: Do you know how to convert milligrams to grams?

I'm not a bodybuilder, but yes I know how to do this. Even knowing how to do this, I don't know the recommended daily amount for amino acids in grams as well.
I figured asking the experts on here would be better than a quick google search.
You mentioned in another thread that BCAA's are completely worthless and do nothing for gains? Is this true?Last edited by thethinman0007; 08-28-2018 at 03:47 AM.

You will never OD on BCAAs, so no worries there, you could have 4 scoops of that protein per day... no problems.
Yes, BCAAs are useless; there is no need or reason for a person to supplement them assuming you eat a generally varied diet and reach protein minimums.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Free form BCAAs and BCAAs included with the rest of the EAAs in whole protein are different stories.

Yes, I know all this but since this is my first time ever using a vegan protein powder, I'm unfamiliar with how they process it. It supposedly is organic and contains nothing unhealthy, but I'm sure that is a lie to a degree.
I assumed that the amount of the amino acids in a plant-based powder differ greatly from a whey protein.

Yes, true. Even if I'm drinking protein powders everyday, I prioritize and make sure most of my protein comes from my diet.
I have an insanely fast metabolism, so I'm even thinking about drinking a protein powder that has casein before I go to sleep. I know casein is slow digesting, which is good but would it keep me up?
I ask because I have tried drinking a whey protein shake a couple hours before bed and I just had way too much energy and couldn't sleep for several hours after, so I don't do night workouts anymore.

Free form amino acids (BCAAs) absorb instantly, they also provide an instant source of energy. Protein from whole foods/powders take hours upon hours to digest and feed the body at a very slow rate

Oh look. The amazing advice based on nothing real is back. /sarcasm off
I'd ask for "blah, blah, blah," but we all know where that would go. Inb4, "Ur green brah."
OP, just use your protein powder to meet your macro whenever convenient if you need the help. If you're metabolism is causing issues with growth, you're better off getting more fat or carbs for your increased calories.
Timing of any nutrient isn't relevant to the vast majority people. If you're meeting your macro daily, you'll have plenty of amino acids in your system and if energy is a need, then carbs are a far superior source.
Regardless, you're overthinking this and making it far more complex than necessary."I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."

You guys continue to post about protein consumption but don't have a clue on how to utilize it to be beneficial.
Sorry but thefug is correct, you should be timing your meals and powders.
If you feel I'm lying, take in all your protein within a five hour window for the next six weeks and tell me how much fat and muscle you've lostǝɟıl ɹnoʎ ɟo spuoɔǝs ǝǝɹɥʇ ǝʇsɐʍ llıʍ sıɥʇ ƃuıpɐǝɹ
