The odds of you being shot if you had a gun would increase exponentially
brb have a gun on you
brb perp has the upper hand
brb you're a newb with guns
brb you try and take it out
brb perp sees you do this
brb he shoots you
Good luck, OP. If someone has the upper hand and has a gun to your head, don't you think reaching into your little holster would not help matters? Not like you can predict getting mugged too. These vermin seem to come out of nowhere.
What if these guys run towards you with bandanas on and are unarmed or have no physically violent intentions but want to get in your face and argue with you about something? Do you think anyone would take your word for it?

If someone with a gun drawn has the drop on you then you can't draw your weapon in time to do anything. Considering you haven't shot a gun before you'd just get yourself killed anyway. Pay attention to your surroundings and stop living in a chitty neighborhood.

Never leave the house maybe?
Yeah, I'd get a FN Five-seven mano.

Which pistol—ideal for concealed carry, home defense, or just shooting enjoyment—has low recoil, features a 20-round magazine capacity, and is lightweight, effective, totally reliable, and nearly impervious to elements? Answer: the FNH-USA’s 5.7x28mm Five-seveN—a pistol that hasn’t gotten all the recognition it deserves.

Get a gun and carry it.
Protect yourself, (and your family.)
Don't let the antis try and talk you out of it. (All excuses because THEY don't want to)
You can take ALL the training classes you want.
Different situations require different uses of firearms.
There's no denying it's better to be armed than be weak and vulnerable with absolutely nothing to protect/defend yourself.
BRAVE men died fighting for those rights with their own blood.
You've made the right choice.
Just invest in training, get your CCW, and spend time practicing at the range...
Most importantly learn the rules of firearm safety.Misc, Thank you for all the support!! Honey Bramble | https://honeybramble.com/

Training, training, and more training. Invest all your time and money into training with whatever firearm you decide to purchase. Make an informed decision when purchasing a firearm. Don't buy any gun some fuk in misc tells you that you must buy. Research and make an informed decision and then train with it over and over. If you don't know how to use it, the weapon does you no good.

1. "BACK OFF", loud vocal warnings. Move away/backwards, avoid the situation. Give clear warnings.
2. Only pull out your firearm when you ready to fire. (When you are in fear for your life)
People generally don't continue approaching you after you yell/scream at them to stop.
Criminals will continue pacing towards you. (Fixated on the target, aka you)Misc, Thank you for all the support!! Honey Bramble | https://honeybramble.com/

So 4 times total now? WTF do you live? Go take a class and get formal training with firearms. Go to a place that rents guns and try some out. Spend time on gun forums where people know their chit, like M4Carbine. Practice regularly. If you're not willing to do that, rethink your idea
Don't just buy something you were told about on the misc and start carrying it. Having a gun does not magically make bad guys go away.BrinkZone, Where Bro-Science Got Rabies and Died!

Good luck, OP. Make sure to keep a level head and make conscious and non-rash decisions that could potentially ruin your life. I've been mugged before and the feeling is terrible. It's this feeling of ultimate violation that injures your ego and pride. You're probably ruminating about the situation over and over, thinking about what you could have done differently to protect yourself. In the end, you have to remember that there really isn't anything more you could have done. Two pieces of schit had you both 1) outnumbered, 2) had weapons. You made the smart and conscientious choice not to fight back. I know it's difficult to swallow, and you want to punish or teach these as$holes a lesson, but your life is far more valuable.
Take care, OP.*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*

Facts vs perception son:
"The Department of Justice's National Crime Victimization Survey reports that the probability of serious injury from an attack is 2.5 times greater for women offering no resistance than for women resisting with a gun. Men also benefit from using a gun, but the benefits are smaller: offering no resistance is 1.4 times more likely to result in serious injury than resisting with a gun."
Avoiding the situation altogether by being aware of your surroundings at all times, not living in high crime areas, etc is best strategy, but your comments is BS and not born out by either the stats nor real world experience.
Thousands of actual events vs theory people can look at the news generally ignores:
