Squats. Although I think the squats give the illusion of a bigger butt. If you don't have the genetics for a big butt, it's not going to happen. The basics in a butt, is fat. That's why if you're a big booty girl and you loose a lot of weight, some of that booty goes too =(

deep squat (stance a little wider than shoulder width)

The at home part can make this a little tricky.
Squats are great, but unless you have a pretty good setup at home with a nice squat rack, your going to have trouble doing traditional squats.
Your probably going to have to substitute a dumbbell squat

The glutes consist of three parts,- Gluteus maximus http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/GluteusMaximus.html
Gluteus medius http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/GluteusMedius.html
Gluteus minimus http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/GluteusMinimus.html
The squat really hits the Gluteus Maximus the most, but for your purposes, I think you want to expand the training to hit all three parts. Again, tough at home.
You can try this exercise lying on your side with ankle weights.

I had my GF try stationary lunges on the smith machine, just stepping back and lunging.... she said it worked her butt more than squats do..
