I'm not so rigid on mine anymore. I'm not tracking anything, just eating low-carb, healthy stuff with lots of greens and meats. Trying to keep my strength up.
Just 1g/lb min protein, 0.4g/lb min fat, and fill the rest with whatever sounds good. Small deficit at 13cal/lb but then added cardio on top of that. Burning away “the last 5 lbs” of fat before I can start bulking again, maybe get to Znik level muscle mass one day haha

Place it in a oven tray with water, approx 1 liter (or a melted butter/water mix if calories aint a issue) carrots, onion, celery. I like to coat the leg from time to time with the liquid while it's cooking, but most people don't.

The leftover liquid is awesome to use for the sauce, we usually serve lamb leg with red wine sauce.
This is almost exactly how we cook it, we only usually put the onion in the same tray, cook the other veg separate. Can confirm, lamb is fantastic when cooked this way.

Oh and Znik, if you do go to Budapest the gelato place was called Gelarto Rosa, 10/10 gelato srs. I'd also recommend going to a place called 'Hospital in the Rock', it's an old labyrinth of tunnels that was made into a hospital during the wars and was later fitted out as a nuclear bunker during the soviet occupation, very interesting place but unfortunately you aren't allowed to take pictures.

Day 3 for me. I'm hungry all the time!

    Thank God for cheesesticks.

I made the eggs without any mayo. Used smashed avocado for the mayo in the yolks, chopped up some green onions and cucumber, mixed them in. Salt pepper and huzzzah. Yumminess.

    And..... BOILED PEANUTS?!?!? *smh*

Boiled Peanuts, the Southern snack food. Boiled peanuts are a traditional snack food in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, northern Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi (I have heard that Texans also enjoy this custom). They are an acquired taste, but according to southerners, they are totally addictive

One of the drawbacks of boiled peanuts is that they have a very short shelf life unless refrigerated or frozen. If you leave them out on the kitchen counter for 3 to 4 days, they become slimy and smelly!

Sounds delicious.... especially after a few days.

The deficit starting to show it's effects now, recovery gone down the drain. Get DOMS for like 2-3 days now and don't fully recover before next lifting session, oh the joys of cutting.

So whats everyone up to since they don't have time to post here ?

Are you supporting the satanic companies by buying their products ?!

Known as "HEK-293," the aborted human fetal cell line used by Senomyx is manipulated to evaluate how the human palate will react to synthetic flavors used in the production of processed foods. Since most processed foods on the market today are hardly food to begin with, and typically lack any real flavor or appeal on their own, chemical companies like Senomyx are hired to develop artificial ones (which are often deceptively labeled as "natural flavors") in order to make them taste like real food.

But because these ingredients can be legally disguised with vague descriptors like "artificial flavors" and even "natural flavors," most consumers have no idea that these additives, in some cases, are actually made using the cell tissue of unborn babies that were murdered through abortion. It's sickening but true, and people must learn the truth in order to avoid partaking in what EndAllDisease.com says amounts to a satanic ritual.
The following list outlines processed "food" products, vaccines and "beauty products" known to contain ingredients derived from aborted human babies (and there are likely many more; your best bet is to avoid all processed foods in general):

    PEPSI BEVERAGES:
    • All Pepsi soft drinks
    • Sierra Mist soft drinks
    • Mountain Dew soft drinks
    • Mug root beer and other soft drinks
    • No Fear beverages
    • Ocean Spray beverages
    • Seattle's Best Coffee
    • Tazo beverages
    • AMP Energy beverages
    • Aquafina water
    • Aquafina flavored beverages
    • DoubleShot energy beverages
    • Frappuccino beverages
    • Lipton tea and other beverages
    • Propel beverages
    • SoBe beverages
    • Gatorade beverages
    • Fiesta Miranda beverages
    • Tropicana juices and beverages

Gotta love those naturalnews and pseudo-science freaks!
Someone back in the 70's derived a cell culture from an aborted fetus that has proven good for flavor/artificial flavoring receptor research and testing. Which is now lab grown since they just keep the cultures growing.
And they make a article making it sound like they are constantly taking cells from aborted babies and even hinting about putting it in our food making us cannibals!

One of the drawbacks of boiled peanuts is that they have a very short shelf life unless refrigerated or frozen. If you leave them out on the kitchen counter for 3 to 4 days, they become slimy and smelly!

Sounds delicious.... especially after a few days.
Boiled peanuts are awesome. Granted I live in the Southern United States, where they are sold on the side of the road - normally from a giant pot on a burner, where the peanuts are scooped out into styrofoam cups to order.

They taste less like a peanut and more like a little potato, especially the texture. I have messed around with my own recipe and created Thai yellow curry boiled peanuts. They are spicy and just awesome.

The world is still stuck in the "Fat is unhealthy and kills you" stage. It's still going strong over here, especially saturated fat, that stuff kills you if you just look at it.
It's amazing how the "health and nutrition departments" around the world with all their experts and such always seem to be 40 years behind on nutritional knowledge.

Carbs tend to get a free pass, over here several smoothies, juices, juice/veg drinks etc. has about the same amount of refined sugar added as Coca Cola, yet they are allowed to brand it as "Super healthy" ....
Same goes with yoghurt and stuff, add a dash of fiber or protein and you can market it as super healthy, even if like 90% is pure sugar, but if there is a dash of fat, omg its so bad super unhealthy!

No sleep problems when I cut, my body kinda wants to sleep 24/7 when I cut. Sleep quality on the other hand is **** but it's always that thanks to my lovely head.

I don't know. How can they NOT know? Especially with the high-protein fad that's taking place right now. Everyone is heading for the gluten-free things and decreasing carbs. So I have some faith that things will get better. But the fat thing is always interesting.

I think if they preach the concept of moderation when it comes to fats instead of telling people fat = bad, it'd be better in the long run.

The food pyramid doesn't work. They know this now. But there's still trying to push to stick with it. I'm about to put on my tin foil hat soon...

I'd be interesting to see how the pharmaceutical industry falls along with the FDA's standards on what is and isn't healthy.

Hmm. This week I've been tired, mind and body, when I hit the pillow. But within 10 minutes, I'm jolted awake and then can't sleep for HOURS. Tossing and turning and then finally getting up and doing some headstands or yoga in the middle of the night.

When I do fall asleep, the alarm goes off and it's time to go to work. Gaaah.

Well here in Norway it's probably because most of the government people are utter idiots, it's what comes with a high salary, no personal responsibility, super secure job etc. So they pretty much just keep preaching the same stuff over and over. It's pretty scary when like professors and super "highly educated" public spokespersons actually has no idea what they are talking about and refer to like 20 year old research.

Especially on saturated fat, they still put that similar to transfat over here, even though the latest research for like the last 3 years shows saturated fat is not harmful (though it's not "healthy" either), yet they constantly refer to saturated fat and heart disease, obesity bla bla bla.

These days the biggest discussion is palm oil, government and consumers gone crazy towards manufacturers because its so "unhealthy" due to it's saturated fat. So now most manufacturers has taken it away from production and replaced it with coconut oil and suddenly everyone is happy, even though from a "health" perspective coconut oil is just as bad if not worse.

Gluten and Coeliac and other various food "allergies and sensitivities" is on the rise here as well, last estimation was that around 20% of the population here believes they got food allergy over here.... the actual number of those who has one is like 1%.

But all in all the preaching about what's healthy or not is silly, there should be a way way higher focus on calories and activity not what's healthy to eat or not. When the majority of the world is becoming overweight and obese, stuff like how much fat something can contain to be "healthy" or what type of fat it contains is a minor thing compared to the complications of everyone becoming obese.

What we eat and the quantities of it (be it sugar, fat, saturated fat etc.) wouldn't matter as much if people were normal weight, did some exercise regularly and watched their calorie intake. Even the twinkie diet guy reduced his cholesterol, blood pressure and triglyceride levels when he lost weight with a diet containing mostly saturated fat and sugar, and he was eating healthy before going on the twinkies.

Gaaah.
Never get that, last time I had any issues with actually falling asleep must have been the first year I got sick as that could trigger some crazy leg twitching (nerves gone wild). Didn't make me feel awake though, just impossible to fall asleep.

    Yes.
It's a slightly more animated version of the pee-pee dance.

And tonight's ritual of barbaric pain will be shoulder presses, upright rows, chin-ups, & barbell curls.

I set cals too low and tanked my training and mentality per usual. But I got a squat PR anyway. Nothing too exciting. Settling in for the long haul @ 2400-2500 cals. I've still got 20 pounds to lose...

Good luck with the log nitro.

Znik you use a hexbar for DL way I remember at times. How you feel it works your legs? More quad involvement than a standard DL for you?

Yeah I do and yes more quad involvement. My standard DL is semi-wide stance so it hits hams/posterior chain far more, so it's nice to even it out with some hex bar.

The budapest pics!!! What an interesting looking city. I love the bar where people can come in and just decorate it to their liking. I had a Hoegaarden the other day and thought about you Matt haha.

Znik, you look great as always .

Cap, you can inbox me whenever! I haven't been coming by the thread as much since it started dying down, but I'll make sure to at least check my inbox.
