yeah it's been happening to me for a while now. I had one dream where I swear I entered heaven for all of roughly 30 seconds. It was simply unimaginable and anyway I try to describe it wouldn't even come close to what it looked like. I actually got lucid the moment I stepped in so I was able to fully grasp all that I was looking at. There were literally roller coasters coming out of the ground, layers up on layers of stuff like this, it was like one massive theme park and the smell... the smell was literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever felt. Imagine every single possible thing that smells wonderful all balled up in one smell, now triple it.. that's what it smelled like. There was mother effing fruit just lying in the creeks, literally just laying there as far as you could see, pineapples, grapes, honey melon..

Anyway I could write about what I saw for ages in those 30 seconds, time to move on.

I've been reading up on what religion has to say about masturbation itself, as well the actual act under ancient understandings. Well, back from school. Grades should be out soon for the end of this semester.

I have come to a stunning conclusion about myself and this might explain most of my issues. The idea of being in control of my life is sort of frightening and why I always feel better when someone else is telling me what to do. I constantly hesitate and over analyze and wonder if I'm doing the right thing when it comes to my life. Also, it's like I don't want to take responsibility for my life. Still live with my mother and she said she doesn't want to be 80 years old and still having to support me financially. Always looking to Tobias and HunterMC6 and Dardz for guidance. I guess that can be good, but I never act on anything.

How do I get out of this mindset?

EDIT: I guess it comes down to me not trusting/believing in myself and putting others on a pedestal.

But masturbation is natural.
And until recently pornography was just this tame practise that singles used as a sexual aid and couples use to spice things up in the bedroom. Day 4 here, and the effects are real!!! Haven't been this motivated in a while, also just went through a break up so maybe that adds to it. Actually you didn't come across as harsh at all. Your response was nothing less than objective; trying to find common ground between both sides.

My stance is that I believe people should find their own grounds for abstaining, rather than be purely influenced by something external like moralistic shaming, claimed biological impairment, emotional blackmail or even something as simple as "snake-oil selling". To take texts from a by-gone era where the human body had zero comprehension, apply it to peoples personal choices and adhere to it present day leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I would like to live in a world where abstinence =/= religious hokey, and the more that sources such as the examples above are perpetuated the more individuals like myself will be presumed to have faith of some sort.
