    Ok, I think I finally have my head above water again! Last week was insane around here.

    We butchered chickens. But not only did we butcher them instead of freezing them whole we cut them up. Deboned the breast, tender and cut off the legs and wings. All are now packaged separate and frozen. I did not take the time to make stock and can it. So I froze most of the carcasses. Gotta have chicken soup in the winter! And what else do you make lentil, sausage and green soup with??

    Baby calf number 2 was born! And it is another girl! I am so happy about this one. I really want a Guernsey cow. They are expensive and very hard to find around here. THey make beta carotene on their own so their cream and butter is always yellow unlike Jersey and Holsteins where their cream is only yellow when they are on grass. Not in the winter when they are on hay. I know, I am weird. So here is baby #2. Her name is Ivy, after my first lab who was part yellow lab part Chesapeake Bay Retriever. She had green eyes and a red nose and red around the eyes.



    The first baby is doing fine as well. Dot. I love the way she is always kinda showing her teeth.



    So past the farm news.

    Lifting!! I finally got my new plan from coach yesterday. Which meant I was left to my own devices on Mon and Tues. Hubs and my 17th anniversary was last Sat. I think I ate like 4000 cals on Sat. We had eggs and sausage for breakfast, tacos out for lunch, Greek food for dinner with an appetizer and cheesecake for dessert. We then went to the Bull Riding show and had funnel cake. Blerg. I was 65 K on Sun morning. So of course I freaked out and decided to do tabata as penance on Monday. I am still sore from it. FML!

    On dieting. I have decided to do some carb cycling and to learn to not be freaked out about eating carbs and fat. I have no problem getting my protein in. But I am scared I am gonna get fat by eating carbs. but hey, I need fuel! So here is to 225 C a day for the last 3 days. I was totally mirin my legs today at the gym. My quads were showing. I was a happy girl. Hence I am gonna post the vid from today. Also to note in the vid from today, my feet on power snatch. Some where along the line I went to no feet snatch, no shuffling on the extension. At the B4B meet I was talking to the girl who won world masters and she was talking to me about getting my feet moving again. Well it showed up today on the power snatches, which I have never been good at. Coach said to keep at it! So we shall see if I can get back to shuffling. The first set of BS isn't great. I was dive bombing. Too fast on the way down. They got better as the sets went on. We are starting light and working up to try and get my back straighter.

    So this weeks workouts!

    I am pretty proud of myself these days. I think I am finally breaking through and getting somewhere!

    Quick question: when you are writing your workout log, when you state your weights are you putting down just the plates you load or is that total weights? I'm guessing you aren't adding bar weight in and totaling, correct?

    All weights in my journal are listed in kilos unless otherwise stated. Since I compete and all competitions are in kilos I lift in kilos. It is 2.2# per kilo!
