Is there some reason a BCG can't be staked at home if it's done poorly in SC?

Unfortunately for PSA they have had issues beyond simply failing to stake the gas key.

What was the most recent one in MFC...upper shooting to the left even with rear sight cranked all the way to the right?

I don't know about a complete one, will check the BX on a day off to see what they say. I know I can't get a stripped one.

why can't you buy a stripped lower? Just have them fill out the 4473 as a "rifle"

I thnink the main problem with PSA (non ptac) has been the poorly staked BCGs.

And a couple of gas tube issues...



In all honesty, I would run a PSA upper with a BCM/Colt/LMT BCG and have no worries.

I may end up doing exactly that if they come back at $319 for the stripped 10.5"

My family is from Kansas originally, Uncle is a die-hard Chiefs fan and my friend just went there for two weeks training at Ft. Leavenworth.

Nice. My wife was a Chiefs cheerleader for a few years, then one of the assistant coaches.

I don't have a good spot to shoot anymore. Used to shoot out by Mill Creek gun club down on the river sandbar for years, but they started calling the police and it became too much of a hassle even though it was a legal spot. I've just been alternating between the Bullet Hole and Centerfire for handguns. Really wanting to find somewhere I can setup steel targets for use with both handguns and rifles.

I've got 4-5 gyms that I rotate between... I usually lift in the mornings or early afternoon. PM me if you're interested.

We're in the same boat... our open field shooting spot got re-zoned because it was right outside city limits and shooting isn't allowed there anymore. We've gone out to Lake City but bench shooting at paper targets + range nazis = no fun. If you've never been, the indoor range at Bass Pro Shop in Independence is actually really nice, and the range guys don't bother you at all. Only $75 for a year pass.

So proud of the Chargers. So disappointed in KC...

At least they kept it close.

On a foosball note my team in MFC league is pretty well ****ed...took Peterson third overall, also Martin and Ben Tate. Oh and the SEA defense that sucked so badly today they scored negative points for me. Torrey Smith and Heath Miller also sucked.

After my experience with 6 types of ammo (through a rifle I came to know through an associate), I can fairly confidently say I won't own a Ruger Hawkeye. .30-06 the best group I got from any ammo was still appx 1 1/8". Given that I have known multiple Remingtons and CZ's that were capable of half that (in my hands) - I'll be staying away from the Rugers for the foreseeable future.


Wouldn't mind an Gunsite Scout, though.

Low energy tonight. Kids decided they no longer wanted the sweet loft beds I built them about 5 years ago. Spent yesterday taking them apart and buying/assembling new bed frames from IKEA for them. Spent today trying to salvage some of the lumber and built a couple little shelves in the garage with the material. So on top of being sore from the gym, I'm sore and tired from the other activity. Now I'm winding down with a couple beers.
