Brother took full advantage of it. Would start crying out of nowhere, mom runs in asking whats wrong. He'd say i punched him, here came the backhands. Never once saw him get beat like i did.

Brought home an F one time. Had to stay home the rest of the week because she didnt want the school to see my bruises from being thrown on the ground and kicked.


Made me a better person though so no hate on her.

Whereas my brother is a pothead with warrants and no job/car.

that almost made me cry.

Being beat/hit/spanked really just made me resent/fear my parents, where as being 'grounded' for a few days (ie not being able to go outside to play) was a much worse punishment in my eyes.

I really think if the only way you can think to punish someone that is physically defenseless towards you is to beat them you are a sad individual.

"hit" per say no. but I was definitely physically reprimanded for acting stupid or getting out of line. I'm glad my parents punished me like that as it teaches you a little bit about character. I think people don't belt their kids enough now and it's why kids are so ****ing rotten. I'm at a very liberal university in a very liberal town and you can just tell what people never had their ass whipped once or twice as a kid just by how they act lol.
