I hover in the 165-170 range and I get a few comments here and there from coworkers. Large shoulders and traps are def. the reason. Also in a fitted shirt my delts look good

With or without a shirt on?

I say 200lbs with clothes on.

    I'd say about 200lbs
"Powerlifters shout at bodybuilders because bodybuilding produces mountains of muscle tissue with no functional purpose. Strongman competitors look down on powerlifters because there's more to strength than a one-rep max in three lifts performed with a minuscule range of motion. Olympic lifters, if you can find them, get to feel smug because every 4 years, you can turn on the TV at 3 AM and see them compete for gold. And everyone hates on CrossFit."

In the army max weight for someone 5'11" was 185 lbs (192 lbs for someone 6'). You could go over that but when you did you would need to be body fat tested (military tape test standards) to ensure your were not fat. In the military only two types of people got tape tested, the big guys and the fat guys. So just my personal opinion if you were above that and still lean (12% or less) I would consider that big enough to at least show you look like you lift. My personal gold standard goal is still to reach that 200 lbs - 10% but I'm happy with anything over 192 lbs & lean.

Just to add to my last comment, I think body fat % plays a big part too. If your cut/shredded and sub 10% it definitely shows even at much lower over all weight.

i agree 100% with this. I have natural traps of peace development and i'm only 170lb 6'0 @ 9-10% bodyfat. I'm not saying I'm big at all, but people can definitely tell I lift even with shirt on. (no delusion, no e-brag)

    185-200 at 10ish % bf.

could look like you lift to the general public probably at 165, but im talkin misc standards here and how you look also depends on your frame and insertions and other chit not just weight.

It depends what you mean by "look like you lift". People could tell I lift when i was 155 but to actually look decent i'd say minimum 175lbs 10-12%bf

How long do you think it's gonna take me to get to that weight? I've been lifting for about 18 months, feel like my n00b gains have stopped. Been stuck at around 163 lbs for about a month now.

Consuming between 2900-3200 kcal a day, lifting 4-5 days a week and the scales aren't budging.
If you started at a 126 lbs it will take you about 5-8 years to get to 175-185 lbs of lean muscle?? It took me longer, but I didn't have the luxury of internet when I started...

Agree with this. Someone used Marc Fitt as an example. He's 5'10" 175 lbs and shredded. Can definitely tell he lifts when he's in clothes.
