Your dominant side might be pushing harder/earlier than your weaker side. Just concentrate on pushing equally.

after my shoulder surgery I used the smith machine till I got to 325. once I could crank hard on it then started over on free bar. I had to start at the bottom and work back to get over one plate.
another good way is to use 4 10lbers on each side. do burn downs. do as many reps as you can with 4 then 3 then 2 etc..Yetti
