Go kick butt at your meet this weekend, sound like you are going to kill it and take names, everything has been lining up so well for you this cycle. I'm going to be away and not sure I can get online much from where I'm at, I think there is dial up if anything lol, but will be anxious to see how you did.
Excited for your announcements, tooCSCS

My Accouncement
I've recently been named the newest forum rep and brand ambassador for RSP Nutrition. I will officially be starting on the forums after July 4th, but it's safe to announce at this time. RSP is a company that has grown as a drastic pace since it's introduction. Currently we market three product, pre-workout, creatine, intra/post workout. All three have a very good profile. I won't turn this log into a commercial, but I may mention something from time to time! If you're interested in learning about the products check out www.rspnutrition.com or check out the bb.com store below.

Grats man however people may want to be careful going to the website as I got hit by some viruses. You may want to let them know JP.

Just wanted to start off with a big thank you to everyone who follows my log. Your support drives me inside and outside of the gym. Thanks again!
Meet Results
We woke up at 4:30AM in order to make the drive from MA to CT for weigh ins at 7:30. On the road by 5:15 and the wifey was instantly passed out. She couldn't eat until weigh ins so her plan was to sleep the entire way so she wasn't hungry lol. I didn't have to worry about that as I wasn't trying to make a certain weight, so I had a coffee and a small snack. Long story short we made it to weigh ins on time, I weighed 171 and she weighed 120.
Going into this day my "longshot" goal was 1100lbs. In my mind I thought it was possible with a 380 squat, 290 bench, and 430 deadlift. I opened squat at 345. I nailed the lift but it really felt off. The carpet that was under the mono lift was almost disorienting because of the design and colors and I didn't feel right when trying to line up. I made a conservative jump to 360 next and hit that fairly easily and felt much more comfortable. This is where I had a decision to make, with 1100 in my mind I knew in the back of my head I needed 380, but I opted for 370 and played it safe in order to go 3/3. Needless to say I nailed 370 with a little weight to spare. I'm not sure if I would have hit 380 but 375 for sure. At this point I turned my goal into going 9/9 instead of the 1100 I had previously hoped for.
Following squat there was basically a two hour wait for me and as I got bored I started walking around the expo. Muscle Pharm had an obstacle course challenge where the winner would get 5k. I knew I shouldn't have entered but I decided too anyway because I love competition lol. Needless to say it was a exhausting. I finished 1 second off the lead and said I'd come back after the meet. Unfortunately I was much too exhausted and left with out trying again. Immedietly after I felt TERRIBLE. I couldn't breath (yes out of shape lol) and my knees were skinned like 3 layers deep from diving under the cargo net portion of the race. I just sat around for the next hour thinking how dumb I was hahaha.
Next up was Bench, I opened with 265 this time around and pushed it fairly easily. My all time meet bench press PR was 285 at this point so I set up my second attempt for 280 and figured I'd judge that attempt to determine my 3rd. 280 Felt pretty damn good so I decided to go for a PR of 290. Crushed it. Possibly 5 more pounds in the tank.
After roughly another 2 hours waiting it was time for deadlift. At this point I was yawning non stop, I was sore, and my knees stung so bad that it hurt to stand up LOL. I started to warm up and 315 felt okay but 365 felt heavy. I crushed about my 10th scoop of pre-workout and snapped the faurk out of it. The second my pre-workout kicked in my mindset completely changed. I opened with 405 and it felt pretty good. Not great, but not awful. Next up was 420. This would be a 15 pounds PR if I hit it. I almost had this at my last meet but this is the point where my grip usually gives out. I stepped up to the bar, gripped that fcker as hard as I possibly could and ripped it off the floor. 420 felt easier than 405. At this point I had a serious decision to make. 430 was the realistic number I should go for but 440 would put me at the 1100 I had dreamed of before the meet. After talking it over with a couple people I made my mind up but didn't tell anyone one my buddies. The 5 minutes leading up to my lift I kept telling myself I wasn't going to get it, and was having bad thoughts. Then with about a minute left I told myself something along the lines of "Cut the Bullsht, you came all this way, you put in all this work over the last 3 months, stop being a fkn pussy". At this point I had fired myself up! I took a couple big whiffs of the nose torque, stepped up to the bar, gripped and motha fckin ripped and 440 came off the floor at the same speed as 420! I seriously may have even had a little more in me. 4 fckin 40! I was so pumped. Hit my 1100, hit a 35 pound meet pr on DL, hit a meet PR on every lift, and went 9/9. I literally could not have had a better show!
