The awesome people at Magnum hooked me up with Opus this week. Definitely made my day to come home and find this package!
A little bit of background about me:
My weight tends to fluctuate around the 155-165 range usually. During winter work had me stressed out a bit and I packed on some extra pounds. I work some weird hours and shifts since i'm a 911 operator/police dispatcher. My work just recently finished an 8 week challenge and my start & end results were as follows"
Weight: 163 -12 pounds
Waist: 30" -2"
Thighs: 24" -1"
Hips: 40 -2"
My goal for the rest of summer is to lose another 5-6 pounds and bring down my bf% slightly. There's a recently updated bathing suit pic in my gallery for those interested in seeing my before/after.
My reason for deciding to try Opus is that with busy season here at work, i'm going to be working crazy hours with overtime and the majority of my workouts are done right after a 12 hour nightshift. Not only am I a single parent to an awesome daughter, i'm also in the process this week of closing a deal on a condo that i'm hopefully purchasing. I need any bit of help when it comes to getting the most out of my workouts.

Energizer Bunny with Magnum Opus

I had my first chance today to use Opus. Finally seem to be getting over the strep throat that I had!! woo hoo. Today was a 12 hour day shift at work and my lunch hour consisted of scrambling around trying to get stuff done so my condo deal can close by next Friday. By the time I got home and finished everything, I was literally drained. To the point I contemplated just passing out on the couch fully clothed. I figured i'd give Opus a shot because I knew I would feel guilty if I skipped a workout 2 days in a row.
My first impression of Opus is that it mixed easy with water and didn't leave any "floaties" on the top as I like to call it. The taste was unique and I found it quite likeable. It didn't have a synthetic taste and didn't leave a bitter or gross aftertaste. I found the product to work fairly quickly. Within 10 mins I felt as if I had my second wind. My workout was only cardio tonight which consisted of a 5km run. My run time was average which I was surprised for. Generally when I do runs after working all day I usually add on 2+ mins to my time. Right now I feel like i'm able to wind down and not all jittery which is a huge plus.

Wednesday workout:
Worked until 330 in the morning and then only managed to get 2.5 hours sleep before getting the bright idea to head down to the USA for some shopping. When I got home I literally had to drag my butt off the couch and force myself to drive to the gym. I took Opus right before my workout and literally within minutes I felt a perk of energy. I'm still loving the flavor and how well it mixes.
Workout:
Wide grip pullups- 3-10x - 50lbs assisted
Bent over barbell row- 3-10x - 65lbs
Seated cable row - 3-8x -70lbs
Wide grip lat pulldown - 3-8x 70lbs last set 80lbs
Dumbbell row - 3-8x 25lbs
Hyperextensions w/3kg medicine ball- 3-10x

Friday workout:
I must be going a bit batty because I decided to run the RCMP PARE not once but twice for fun. I took Opus before my workout and my best time for running the PARE was 12 seconds better than my run the previous week. For anyone not familiar with it... it's full blow exertion for about 4 mins in total. Obstacle type course, push & pull section and then a walk carrying 100lbs.
I also did:
Sled pulls: 45lbs plus the sled weight- entire gym floor length x4
Tire flips: no clue how much the tire weighs but for me it's pretty heavy! 18 flips
Wall ball throws- 3 x 10 - 14lbs
Sled push- 100lbs plus sled weight- across the gym x 6
Elliptical- 15 mins
Treadmill- 1min sprint 1min walk x 7
I think I pushed myself a bit too much today, feeling blah right now and losing my voice again. I'm still impressed with how Opus gives me a burst of energy. Calorie wise i'm hovering around the 1700 mark and i'm keeping it that way for the next few weeks then possibly bump it up a bit.

I've been taking 1 scoop of Opus prior to each workout. During the workout I felt like I had enough energy to keep going. Generally if i'll run through the PARE after 2x that's it... i'm literally done. Head between my knees and trying not to heave up my food. I've been impressed with how it keeps my energy levels up through 1.5 hour long workouts.
Yesterday the gym was literally the last place I wanted to be after only 2 hours of sleep after a nightshift then my daughter's birthday party- complete with 13 high energy 7 year old kids.
Generally my workouts are in the morning but yesterday I had to go in the evening which is when my energy levels are pretty low. Opus has been working quicker to give me an energy boost then my usual cup of coffee and hasn't left me jittery afterwards.
Workout:
Leg extension: 2 warm up sets - 30 reps 40lbs
Squat: 2 lighter sets 15 reps - 95lbs - 2 sets at 135lbs to failure (11 1st set, 9 for the 2nd)
Leg press: 4 sets 8 reps 240lbs
Walking barbell lunge- across the gym x 4- 40lbs
Barbell step ups- 2 sets each leg 10 reps - 50lbs
I think Opus is going to become a regular for my supplements. I managed to get through my leg workout without taking extra time between sets like I thought I would.
Food wise.... not so fantastic. Still stayed below 1900 calories but it also included chocolate cupcakes and pepperoni pizza. Not feeling guilty about my splurge though!

Very nice workout and dedication. No sleep + gym/training = a sucky time. Daughters b'day party and all them 7 year olds !?!? Geez. You have more motivation than me because I probably would have called it a day with all that.
I'm glad that you enjoy Opus that much and you are getting great results from it. Really. What is life if we can't enjoy delicious food right? As long as you don't go overboard and stay within your preset limits, I say enjoy it all.... Bad influence, I know

Work has been crazy busy lately. Gotta say that i'm pretty thankful for Opus otherwise I would be skipping workouts. I'm doing so much overtime I think i'm starting to go crosseyed!
Wednesday workout:
This one was brutal. After working a full night shift the last place I wanted to be was the gym, especially knowing after my workout I would only have 2 hours sleep before having to make it to my daughters year end school performance. To kick it up a bit I took 1.5 scoops instead of my usual 1. I managed to make it through my hour long workout and didn't have to decrease my weights like I thought I might have to.
Upright dumbbell rows- 3x10 - 20lbs
Dumbbell military press- 3x10- 20lbs
Rear delt raise - 2x10- 10lbs (i'm super weak on these... trying to work up my weight)
Lateral raise- 3x10- 15lbs
Rear delt cable flys- 3x10- 30lbs
Cardio:
Stair running- 10 mins
Treadmill 16 mins- 1m walk 1 min sprint- repeat 8x
Thursday workout:
I felt so much better after 11 hours sleep. Thursday after my workout I was in full blown zombie mood and so irritable. I switched back to my normal 1 scoop because I didn't feel like I needed an extra energy boost like yesterday.
Wide grip bench press- 1 warm up set - bar x 15, 3- 8 75lbs (this is something im still working on)
Pushups- 3x15
Cable crossover- 3x10- 30lbs
Ab crunches with 4kg medicine ball- 3 mins
Captains chair ab crunches- 3x15
Weighted ab crunch- 3x15- 120lbs
Cardio: 10 min jog speed 6.5 - 1 min sprint 1min job x 5

Pretty dissapointed with my workout today. Even with 1.5 scoops of Opus I was literally drained and couldn't even get 1/4 done. I think all the overtime finally caught up with me. Managed to run through the rcmp pare again and shaved 3 seconds off my best time. I was pretty happy with that considering it was after night shift. Generally i'm able to run a 2nd one but I didn't even get through 1/2 of the 2nd test run before having to call it quits. It's like my legs gave up on me. Working my last night shift today and then I get a whopping 1 day off. Looking forward to catching up on a bit of sleep and giving the gym another shot Sunday during my lunch break at work.

So my meds didn't make me feel better so back to the doctor I went. He thinks it's pneumonia now. I can't seem to catch a break. On the plus side my workouts haven't suffered much.
Sunday:
1 scoop before my workout. Was feeling pretty good for energy since it was during my work lunch break.
Leg extensions- 2 x 30- 60lbs
Squats- 6 x 8 - 2 sets at 95lbs 4 sets 135lbs
Leg curl- 4x8- 60lbs
One leg barbell squat- 4x8- 65lbs
Glute bridge- 4x10 - 45lbs
Monday
1 scoop before doing cardio. 5km jog in 25:32 mins. This is 2 mins higher than my usual time but I slowed down my pace a bit to not end up having a coughing fit at the end. The next few weeks at work are insane. I'm curious to see how Opus will keep up with giving me a burst of energy or if it'll start to fade off. My eating was absolute crap today, back on track tomorrow!

Young lady, you are strong. Awesome training sessions on Sunday and Monday. I'm sure the OPUS helped you get through it all
We all tend to eat like crap when we are stressed, It's why stress is a leading contributor to unwanted weight gain
I think OPUS will help tremendously. Are you able to pack food ahead of time or does your schedule not allow it?
