    No idea what the resistance is on a Smith machine bar vs regular? So, like i said...i dunno what actual weight was. Just kno how much i put on is all.

    Edit: So i dunno if the 220 number for reps is accurate. Juss goin by the 2/45lb plates on each side for reps.

    Only repping 2 plates currently with 1RM probably in high 200s, but arms are only 14.5 to 15 inches. 315 is definitely attainable natty with a few years of training, but a lot of the people who do it in the gym look like they juiced. Usually it's the look, not how much they lift that gives the juicers away.

    I agree but weight plays a big factor, Someone built like a twig is going to have a hard time a any height. Someone 5"6 125 isn't going to have an easier time because their short.

    You can do it, I had a really weak bench. When i first started my bench was about 110 lbs and I weighed around 120. It took me 6 years but I can do 315 now.

    Benching 2 plates for reps is that out of the ordinary for miscers... i see guys who bench 315 and i never think gear i just think damn i need to get stronger and bench heavier.

    Been lifting for about a year and a half now.
    Spent 10 months getting lean, stopped training for almost a year due to surgery, and have been training for about 8 months again. Realised I could put up alright numbers, training to do my first powerlifting comp this year ;-)

    I'm 38, with pretty average to crappy genetics and I was able to get 3 plates up for 3 reps this winter while i was bulking. If you had asked me 2 years ago if that was possible, I would have laughed you off.

    Then I started eating right and getting more sleep and slowly worked my way up.

    what percentage of <200 lb lifters could attain 405 bench natty and raw?

    I can see myself go up to ~365 lb, but I could only imagine dem feelz to be able to push up 4 plates without learning to ride a bike...

    Did 320 for 2 when I cut down to 172. Haven't maxed since though. I feel weak at my gym. Most people there my size rep 315 like it's nothing.
