Given enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is the true warrior who can master both, and surpass the result.

Fell off the face of the earth.
Gained 6lbs.
Sad. Working two jobs sucked, so I dropped down to one, now I have free time again. Time to hit the gym again. I became a fatty with 2 and a half months off.
P.S. Hi LF chatters, long time no see, did I miss much? Probably not.

Crown Vic work car? What do you do?
"The hardship of the exercises is intended less to strengthen the back than to toughen the mind. The Spartans say that any army may win while it still has it's legs under it; the real test comes when all strength has fled and the men must produce victory on will alone." (Pressfield,1998, p.78)

Have decided that if I don't lose any weight or make a significant change of body composition in a month's time cutting on 1500 calories, I'm through with this stupid diet chit. SRS.
Just going to go back to how I lost weight last time...by being more active, lifting, and eating sensible portions. Tired of regulating all this chit only to be at the same weight this entire month.

Hey, i'm with you.
When the ex-wife moved out & took all the furniture she left me with...well nothing but a china cabinet, pub-table & whatever odds & ends of mine she banished to the basement when she first moved in.
for at least a yr I only had a mis-matched recliner, love seat, end table & a TV (on the other end table)
Made it hella easy to clean & the kids had like the whole house to run their Thomas The Tank engine track through!
Then the women came & ruined all that.
Apparently chicks want to see couches, throw rugs on hard wood, an absence of milk crates & a dining room table (even though we only ate dinner on the couch in front of the TV)
IDK.

Biltong is a kind of cured meat that originated in South Africa. It is similar to beef jerky in that they are both spiced, dried meats, but differ in their typical ingredients, taste and production processes; in particular the main difference from jerky is that biltong is usually thicker (from cuts up to 1" (25 mm) thick), while jerky is rarely more than 1/8" (3 mm) thick and biltong does not have a sweet taste.

Chest/leg day was good. Need to work on front squat form more. Quads must grow!
110x12x8 DB press. What does that translate to in bb?
Incline DB is still crappy, but going up. Hit 70x8x8 today with 15s rest. Goal is to do 100s sometime.
And Ammex, just for you I did 8x8 pec dips with chains and a 25lb DB attached to it for 8x8. Better?~Murray State Crew~

Well after ~2 months of 8x8, your body seems to adapt to shorter rest periods. On Flat DB pres I was ~45s rest. I have been increasing weight on that and keeping rest the same. Tell you one thing though, you sweat like a pig when you do 8x8 with really short rest times.
I kinda wanna do DB max next week, rather than 8x8 just to see where I'm at. I think I could hit the biggest DBs (120s) for reps on flat bench, no idea on incline though.~Murray State Crew~

I've been doing 8x8 1x per week by cycling one lifting group per week. Meaning, chest/bis 8x8 one week, tris/back 8x8 next week, legs next week, and so on. I have never sweat so much from lifting. I'm still trying to be efficient with it though. I keep missing the mark on what weights to use with 8x8 effectively. Getting closer tho...

Personally I am using ~65% of my 1rm at least on the big lifts
Squat: 315 ATG max using 205
Bench: 335 Max using 225
Deadlift: 440 Max using 315
You get the point. But 65% seems to be the sweet spot for being able to recover and still at least come close to failure by the 8th set.
You should try a full 8x8 program for a little while. I think I'm going to do a 8x8/5x5 hybrid (similar to PHAT but more volume) for a while because I like strength gains lol. In my opinion, your body won't be able to adjust to that level of volume only doing it 1x/week. Your CNS needs to adapt to it, which is why I started with 60s rest and have lowered it a bit each week. Thinking about buying a wrist stopwatch so I can be exact.~Murray State Crew~
