01-07-2013, 12:07 PM #933Yes I know I am fat and weak. I'm working on it.
I REP BACK.
Everyone at BB constantly preaches meal timing is irrelevant. Then they religiously take a whey shake post-workout just to prove it.
Ketosis: Because initiating lipolysis during a cut is obviously a terrible thing.
Primal eating: Because cutting out processed foods is obviously a terrible thing.

Interdasting, you can buy a shoulder of pork or a shoulder of lamb. Meat is confusing.
It's played all over Europe, largely amateur though, there are only a few semi-professional teams. They generally only pay imported American players.R.I.P urukhai29, sentinel3, AncientYouth.

I can see how throwing up would get to be a vicious cycle, contemplated it a few times but even doing it when I'm sick absolutely terrifies me.
Agreeing with Schnitzl, find people battling it too, I bet there are many. Because so much is in the mind maybe it's better to address that first?
I had a 6 month affair with binge eating, mostly salty junk food and it only happened about 2-3 times a month but worked on ways to stop them before they started. You have to find what works for you.

There is a thread in the Nutrition Section where you can ask for help and/or talk to others who are going through this or have gone through this. Good luck to you.

I'm thinking about going back to lacto-vegetarian soon. I did a stint as Vegan for about 6 months and lost a ton of weight. I was still able to keep my strength to and I felt fantastic all the time. The only non-veggie thing I would eat is whey protein (hence lacto-vegetarian) to get some of that in my system. Other than that, I just ate strictly vegetarian.
I never felt as sluggish as I did eating tons of animal protein. Still thinking about it though. Difficult to go vegetarian when your roommate is the biggest carnivore on the planet.^^Former 300+lb Crew^^

Yeah, I think most people elsewhere just call int a shoulder roast or something similar. Some stores here will just call it a shoulder roast as well but the techincal term in the meat industry is "chuck". Not sure why. Eitherway, when people say "we're making a roast" most places in the world it's most often a chuck/shoulder roast.
A rump roast here may also be called "bottom round". Rump and Chuck are similar in flavor but rump roast is a little more tender.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

workout complete. and for the first time in YEARS I jogged today. Sure it was extremely difficult, and I thought each step was gonna make me die, but I pushed through. I wasn't able to do it super fast, or very long, however I did what I could. Gotta start somewhere.

unsolicited advice on the way: start with walking. all that banging on your joints is sure to mess something up. walking for the first couple months will help to gradually build tendon strength to then support some light running, maybe.
Edit: on a positive note, congrats on getting out of your comfort zone...the motivation is, well, motivating.

I joined my gym about 4 weeks ago, and have been doing 25-35 minute walks on the treadmill 6 days a week between 2.3 and 3.0 mph. I knew I had to start slower and get used to the movement and exercise that I haven't been getting for the past, well just about all my life. Today I did my usual walking routine, but threw in 3 90 second spurts of 4.5mph jogs. Trying to still do it short times but pushing myself to become better.
Thanks for the positive words though, it's the type of thing that makes me work hard each day to be a better me tomorrow.Highest 415 -- Lowest 8 (July 84) -- Current 343.7
