I'm really excited about this. Hopefully we get him against CroCop or Hunt and not some can. That being said I think CroCop and Hunt would beat Tyson in a boxing match. He's old and past his prime however he does sell tickets. Good move by Pride IMO.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

I don't think Tyson has the mental maturity for MMA.
I think grappling will frustrate the hell out of him. When he gets completely shut down by a grappler, he's going to start biting.In 1945, Adolf Hilter died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied, "I am responsible for the massacre of millions" Satan said, "well done, sit to the right of my throne." In 1953, Joseph Stalin died and went to Hell. Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" He replied "I killed millions to stay in power" Satan said "good, sit to my left" 2010, Ronnie James Dio died and went to Hell, Satan asked, "why are you in Hell?" Dio replied, "Bitch, get the fuk off my throne!"

i want to see bob sapp destroy tyson
the problem with tyson fighting now is all his power came from his speed, and youth.
now hes old and wont have the same speed to hit with those hard punches like when he was 20
a big guy like bob sapp that is strong because of his immense size will kill tyson now.SPRAINED WRIST as of 10-6-06 (waiting for it to heal)
Current stats
height = 5'7
weight = 230 pounds
waist = 38 inches
arms = 16.5 inches (PR)
bench = 170X6 (4 sets) MAX = 200(PR)
GOAL stats
height = 5'7
weight = 240
waist = 34 inches
arms = 19 - 20 inches
bench = 260 X 6 (4 sets) MAX = 315

Maybe 6 years ago..
If this had been announced 6-7 years ago Tyson could have been one of the best. But like Shonie carter, sure he was absolute athleticism and skill in his prime, but I personally think he's probably too old to hang now. He's got the will, and the skills and power, but he's too old, I'm sure he doesnt have the stamina.
Bop Sapp being the unskilled fighter he is, would probably destroy tyson. And yes I know Tyson was a super street fighter growing up, he's kill me in 1 punch etc. But he is older now, and just like Gracie was really too old to Handle Hughes, who crushed Gracie in the fight. We're seeing more and more now how young fighters with great conditioning are steam-rolling older fighters. Just look at Diego. He's really young with insane conditioning, and even though he doesnt have the experience, he's still beating guys like Parisan(spelling?).
I think its the whole new era of cross-training for mma. Where you have guys who lift weights, run, they box, do grappling. Everything. Your creating guys who are like all around ultimate soldiers now. Its just a different game. Sure against the average guy on the street any old-timer fighter will win, karate guy, boxer, wahtever. But in the mma game, with professional athletes and money on the line now your seeing a new era. And guys like tyson and gracies etc. just can't hang.
Liddel is the best for a reason, he's got an all around game...but his style is unorthodox. I believe he'll also degrade with age as he gets up there. But he's got an unorthodox style that will allow him to stay around longer than others his age.
now I'm rambling."The machine isn't that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it," said Atlus spokeswoman Ayano Sakiyama, calling the recall of the arm spirit arcade machine "a precaution."

Of course I am not talking for smeone who became an alchoholic for 10 years between the ages of 30 and 40..and screwed up their bodies. You can be in AMAZING shape well into your 40's even win strength sport comps, triathlons...boxing matches. Nutrition and injury prevention is key. My trainer is almost 50 and with a metal knee he still schools people, is ripped and sharp as a tack..why? His nutrition is flawless.Mirin'triceps peak? Thanks westside barbell.
Gettin'older, studying MMA in Brazil gonna fight soon, on my own crew.

I'm not familiar with Pride rules to be honest, but I'm a big fan of old-school tyson. All I have to say is that tyson with lighter or no gloves is literally DEADLY.. true he'll get owned on the ground, just make sure you get him there without getting knocked out first. In MMA there may be some 'boxers'.. but they can't hit like Tyson can.
