Monica Brant is very attractive in the traditional sense, but I think that if one were to find a female bodybuilder attractive, it wouldn't be according to the traditional standard or definition of feminine beauty, i.e. he or she would like muscular women.

That's why they made the new rule of decresing muscularity by 20% as well as for health reasons. Women are just made to hold more bodyfat than men. I think it was a step in the right direction. That's why Yaxeni won. Iris was too ripped. Seriously, I was there and Iris was downright scary, and I'm not that easily intimidated by muscular women because I'm a little big myself(I'm fat, but I got more quality muscle than most "fit" guys. I'm gonna start working on losing a little weight pretty soon)

These are exactly the kind of girls who make womens BB and figure a potentially dangerous sport. Having that low of body fat may be great for a porn star but a female athlete (and that is what I define myself as) should never be that low in body fat for any good reason.

When you drop that low in BF you give up everything that makes up your femininity, unless their rubber you won't have breasts any curve to your hips or meat in your face thereby becoming a little man.

I love to body build and I love looking atheltic, but I don't like to look at myself just prior to competing because I don't think it is pretty. It has its purpose but even then I don't think it is all that particularly pleasing to look at.

Now show me Monica Brant in any of the BSN ads and now I think you have a really beautiful woman.

I agree. Again, that's why the decrease in 20% musclularity for women came about. The IFBB knows that people weren't pleased by the look of the Ms. Olympia. It wasn't brining in fans and nobody wanted to see it. at the 2005 expo I saw the Ms. Olympia, and the competitors were a lot easier on the eyes. They all looked great. Iris Kyle came in with a really harsh ripped look and so she lost. I think that female bodybuilding is taking a turn in the right direction. It just needs time for the competitors and the judges to get the hang of.

I agree. I think that the female competitors have a much harder time deciding how they are supposed to look at a competition. The only thing that will change it is the judging. Like I said, the 05 Ms. Olympia was much better and the competitors were absolutely stunning in my opinion. They were in good shape, but not ripped like men. You certainly are right though, when you say it is extremely confusing for all of the female competitors and even more so because of the three different categories of competition.

I agree, I have a lot of respect for female bbers. It's one of the toughest roads you could hoe.

I know it's newer than men's, but it's not that new, what, almost 30 years of existence (when did Rachel McLish win the first one?). No one can decide once and for all the ideal female bbing physique. No money in it either. And the final slap in the face is that people don't find these women attractive. Tough sport.
