for the past 2 months, my left wrist has been bothering me.. whenever i move my wrist from the joint sideways, it makes a popping noise, kinda like the wrist bone gets in the way of the movement, sounds like a little friction. anyway whenver it does this, it makes a poppin noise. sometimes it can hurt pretty bad.. i tried to move my right wrist sideways and it does it perfectly, with no popping, friction, or bone gettin in the way...
this effects my bench press when im going down, cuz i kinda lose my strength in my left wrist so then the bar feels uneven, and it tips...
anyone know what im talkin about? should i get this checked by a doc or should i do something about it.. thanks

Is this an on going problem which happens even after an proper warm up for that joint? if yes, you should probably have a doctor check it out.

id leave it for a few weeks and rest i had problems with my left wrist recently, just getin better now, for about 2months it would ache all the time wen i satrted liftin then after a wile of this it would start becoming quite painful, in the end it just went and i could hardly move it let alone lift anyfing, i was out for nearly 6weeks before i could go bak, your best bet is to rest for a few weeks beore the problem gets worse, ovawise u could end up being out for a whole lot longer

I have exactly the same problem at the moment, but i don't think i described the problem well enough for people to help me when i posted on here a few weeks ago. My left wrist pops a lot more than my right, and gives me problems when doing barbell curls especially. My knees seem to pop out of place aswell and it hurts when i pop them back into place, but once they're there im fine

i also have a similar problem with my left wrist, however it doesnt pop. just when doing certain excersies such as dumbell curls, my left wrist would start to hurt. also when doing db military press my left wrist has trouble staying stable when i use heavier weights. this causes the db to become unstable and uneven. its starting to piss me off alot because its holding me back from doing heavier weights which my right wrist has no problem doing.
im hoping after awhile it just goes away as my strength grows, if not im going to buy some wrist straps or something like that

i bought this wrist STrap today, i got one for my left hand only, when i wear, it basically makes my wrist not move around as much, i tried doin pushups with them and it felt like i was doin em without the strap. then again my wrist doesnt hurt when im doin pushups. it usually only hurts when im doin wrist curls and reverse wrist curls... i can also get out school sports trainer to just wrap up my left wrist everyday when i lift> what do u guys think?
when do u think this will go away? maybe i should go get an MRI to see if my bones are jacked up or not

alright so todays workout routine for me was chest and tris,
fisrt, i did bench press, my wrist was fine
second, i did triceps pulldowns (pull the bar down), my wrist KILLED, i had to stop
third, to make up for the pulldowns, i did skull crushes on the bench, my wrist was fine
fourth, i did dumbell press, my wrist killed, i had to stop
fifth, i did pushups, wrist was fine
so i guess its only when i have alot of weight on it, i guess it didnt hurt for bench press cuz i had good form where my wrist didnt pop out. the pulldowns were weird feeling and the dumbell press had lot of weight on my wrists.
any more suggestions? im defeintely goin to go get a mri sometime this week
the sports trainer wrapped up my wrist before workout then iced it down after

alright well today was my biceps/back day
the only exercise that hurt was bicep curls with an easy bar, it hurt a little bit but i think the pain wasnt as bad as yesterday. i iced it down when i was finsihed with my workout.. it appears i cant bend my left wrist back straight. it comes in sideways. my right side comes in near-straigth.. that might be a problem
any other suggestions? thanks

My wrist is pretty agravated right now, but I just took two weeks off and it still is somewhat sore. I don't notice it TOO much while lifting althought it does hurt, same with hockey it feels fine 90% of the time. I'm hoping to strengthen it which is probably stupid, but I'm taking glucosamine and about 30g of efas a day now so hopefully it will even out the lifting.

i ****ed my left wrist while playing the game 'mercy' where basically you just try to hurt the other guys hand.
Ever since then, my left wrist has been totally ****ed. I cant do barbell curls, or dumbbell curls without bad pain, so im stuck doing heavy hammer curls for my bicep workout. Every other exercise its fine. Its been 5months since then and it still hasnt healed im starting to get a little worried.Got annoying popups and banners? get rid of them here:

Sorry to necro a thread but it sounds like this person has the same problem that I have had with my wrist since I can remember. Wear wrist straps or even better, weight lifting gloves. If you notice it doesn't pop when you do push ups or certain other intensive wrist using workouts, but when you try to get that "pump" and are doing overhead or bench pressing with weights, gravity is forcing it onto that part of your body and you get a POP sound. Mine is on the inside of my right wrist, it doesn't hurt, but if I don't wear gloves with wrist straps, I will get the pop. Also to note, only my dominant hand has it.
No one can stop me now, not even myself.
