I hear of streets in chicago, la, miami, ect where just passing through can get you shot and killed. One time, my uncle got lost on some street notorious for mugging and shooting and his car was shot at 5 times because he was white. Any of you got any stories like this?

Exactly. These "most dangerous" threads always degenerate into a bunch of e-thugs arguing about whose penny-ante home town ghetto area is more hardcore and gangsta, whereas in reality there are cities out there which have real civil wars going on with full military hardware. The US wouldn't have a single city in the world top 10 most dangerous cities, no matter how many 2 bit crackhead gangsters you have scuttling around."A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

Definitely the African countries..bunch of animals over there. I had an uncle who worked in Nigeria for a while and he said he could never leave his complex. When he went to work he had to pay off warlords to use the roads. Also, he said that there where dead bodies along the sides of the roads and a common method of killing someone was to slit their stomach open and throw them in the river so their stomach fills up and sinks to the bottom.

i'm not sure how reliable this is, but i heard that Palm Island was in the Guinneas Book of Records one year for being the most dangerous place of the "1st World" countries. Palm Island (off the coast of north queensland, australia) is a strictly Aboriginal and Islander kind of "community" i guess, drunkenness, rapes, bashings and anything else under the sun is common there. In fact, just earlier this year the majority of the community rioted and ended up demolishing the police headquarters and hospital on the island.

"Packs of rascals" (gangs) roam the streets day and night with machetes. unemployment is 85%.
"Machete gangs." Can't we just send, I dunno, a couple thousand Marines over there with full gear, for a few weeks of "R&R?"

gary, IN was much worse in the 90's, the gangs were ruthless and very prominent...an FBI lead gang taskforce now works the area and has drastically cut down on gang crime prominence, and its not as bad anymore...however still has terrible areas
same with chicago...some areas fine, others pretty bad, but used to be worse IMO
