What does dextrose really do? Whats a good source of Dextrose? How much should be consumed and should I invest in a supplement?

the ammount of dextrose you use is really dependent on your calorie count. I only use it after training because im trying to shed as much fat as possible; hence, a restricted calorie count. The last creatine i used, body science - myocitin - had 31g of dextrose for every 5g of creatine. I guess you can use this a rough indication.
It is ok for you to mix dextrose with your protein. My post work out shake is protein and universal storm and two teaspoons of gatorade.

dextrose is just an easily absorbed sugar. I just drink gatoraid pre and post w/o, same difference. Dont get caught up too much in all this, dextrose and sugar are good ways to get carbs into your system fast, but getting enough in to truly spike your insulin to an effective level would probably kill you
