I don't understand why. The only muscle group in my body that doesn't get sore after a workout. I know that soreness is not a sign of working your muscles, but it's weird how my whole body gets sore except my biceps.
I work them real hard and I am seeing some strength gains in spite of losing weight, but this is weird... any ideas why this might happen?

Not working them hard enough, or you need to add more weight.
There was a time where I had my pump after the bicep workout, and thats it. The soreness never came, so the day after I felt like I had skipped my bicep day. Turned out, I needed more weight, and I added another exercise that I was not doing before. If you really wanna work them, on my last set I put more weight then usual, and go until I abosultely can't go anymore. That normally does the trick.

I had the same problem until I said **** it and went absolutely nuts on them. I do supersets of dumbell curls until I am pumped as **** and then I grab a barbell and do a whole bunch of failures until I can barely move my arms.
I only get sore around the inner elbow though, my actually bicep doesn't get sore.
I also flex hard and stretch between sets.Last edited by RPagnan; 02-06-2005 at 12:11 PM.

My biceps didn't get sore either before but now they do. It turns out I wasn't doing barbell curls in the right form. So now, I always put on the belt to keep my back from wanting to lean forward and also to keep me from rocking back and forth. I also had to change the way I lifted the bar because I noticed that my shoulders would go up (I workout in front of a mirror) and so would my elbows. So I changed that and I slowed down my workout and keep my elbow as low as I can during the entire motion. This way the only thing moving are my biceps and my elbow but not up and down, just slightly forward at the top of the curl. I also bend my knees just a little to help stabilize.
Anyways, so now I feel the burn everytime.July 2006
