I don't know why but ever since I started working out I can't go more than 3 days without working out. I feel like I'll lose some strength if I don't work out for a week. However, I got the flu (even though I still went to the Y with the flu on sunday) but I'm missing school because of it. And well, my mom won't let me go to the Y because "no school, no YMCA." So will this affect my strength? I was at an all time high just before the weekend

Does not working out for a week make you weaker?

No it wont, or it realyl shouldnt do a layoff can sometimes help to make the body recover and get stronger. Thats why a lot of people cycle their workouts ie 8 weeks on then 1 or 2 weeks off. Its a measure to combat overtraining, strength loss shouldnt be rapid enough over a few days to lose you strength however if you back to work out before you have recovered from the flu you probably will be. Make sure you feel 100% before workign out hard again

Well you may think you loose strength, I just got off my week break and everything just seemed heavier...but after i did my warm-up sets (i took 5 pounds of all warm-up sets then i did the week before) I was able to lift more. So it may seem like you've lost strength, but you haven't you're muscles are just so relaxed they need to get back into working out.

If you've been working out without breaks for a while (2 months +) and take a week off, you'll come back even, if not stronger than before. If you're constantly taking a week off every other week then you'll get weaker. It's all in moderation. You don't have to be constantly working out your whole life, just the majority of it XD
