Looking to take a break from pre workout powder. Normally I would agree with the, just got without, mentality but I workout at 4:45 so I need something. I have tried coffee but besides not liking the case, it sends me to the can within a half hour every time. Any other ideas?

If you are looking for a caffeine stim, that is not pre wo, or coffee, caffeine caps are very cheap.

Caffeine does have a diuretic effect no matter what though....

Caffeine is a powerful drug/supplement. Probably the cheapest/safest stimulant performance enhancer. There are a lot of herbs that have stimulant effects but some can be somewhat dangerous. Synephrine is reasonably safe in terms of not spiking blood pressure, yohimbine hcl (compound from yohimbe bark) can have stimulant effects but can cause mental issues with some, and should NOT be mixed with some other OTC stimulants due to synergistic effects that can lead to cardiovascular issues (like death)...
I'd stick with caffeine, its pretty safe for most and is cheap. If tolerance becomes an issue just go without for a few weeks. I've drank coffee every day for decades and it still wakes me up, so I don't feel tolerance is an issue for me really....I train early morning too, The most important thing I have found is to wake up 60-90 minutes before my session to allow plenty of time for CNS to "wake-up". I notice a performance drop if I am awake less than an hour before I train. Having two small kids, waking up at 3:30 am is actually kind of nice, it allows me to focus on getting some things done without interruption while I drink coffee.

Agree when used responsibly, by a healthy adult without an underlying medical condition....Nobody ever thinks some is good more is better, right? Most people consider Yohimbe an herbal supplement, it ismarketed as such (its bark from a tree). Most don't know the difference between yohimbe and the derivative yohimbine.
https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-suppl...ntName=YOHIMBE
Yohimbe, taken by mouth, is POSSIBLY UNSAFE. Yohimbe has been linked to reports of severe side effects including irregular or rapid heart beat, kidney failure, seizure, heart attack, and others.
The primary active ingredient in yohimbe is a drug called yohimbine. This is considered a prescription drug in North America. This drug can be safely used short-term when monitored by a health professional. However, it is not appropriate for unsupervised use due to potentially serious side effects that it can cause.
Taking high doses can also cause other severe problems, including difficulty breathing, paralysis, very low blood pressure, heart problems, and death. After taking a one-day dose of yohimbine, one person reported an allergic reaction involving fever; chills; listlessness; itchy, scaly skin; progressive kidney failure; and symptoms that looked like the auto-immune disease called lupus.

Lesser known is the fact that yohimbe can have harmful side effects, including high blood pressure, anxiety, racing heartbeat, and headaches. At high doses, purified yohimbe can cause heart failure or death.

Probably some kind of energy drink would be best - I usually stick to Monster/red bull just because you can get them easily and they don't taste all that bad to me...
If you want to go fancy, I have tried chocolate / gummies with caffeine in them - e.g. Awake (https://awakechocolate.com/) or Clif Bloks (https://www.amazon.com/CLIF-BLOKS-En.../dp/B00CQRWSKK)

Yes agree, you are apparently too ignorant to have a discussion with or you just like playing word games on a bodybuilding forum...
Can means there is the possibility, not that an event is certain. Nowhere do I state anything regarding using it responsibly, those were your words. Good luck with your ECY stacks that you are so passionate about, you'll probably be fine Cause there is no possibility of it being potentially dangerous, right?
