I posted in the Teen forum but i didn't recieve an answer.
OK, now i just told my friend of this newly imposed ban on ephedra. Yes i was pissed, but he was freaking out i told him that ephedrine HCL is still availlable, but he keeps telling me its **** and its not as good as ephedra(mu Huang).
I thought the consensus on these forums was that the HCL was more effective with less sides than Ephedra??Could someone plz help me out??

You are correct. Ephedrine is the active ingredient extracted from the herb ephedra (Ma Huang). It is synthetically produced, which is better then the ephedra, or the herb. It is sometimes more potent, and more pureOriginally posted by Ubėr-Anarchist

Problem is ephedrine hcl is always packaged with guainefesin.

i've always liked the feeling of ephedrine hcl vs ephedra. i find ephedrine hcl to be more effective and less jittery than ephedra based products.

well i live in canada and u can only buy Ephedrine HCL pills in 8mg sizes. So would it still contain guainefesin?? Just wondering, what the hell is guainefesin???Originally posted by MarcusG

ephedra is usually the herbal form and it sometimes has moderate to low amount of ephedrine
ephedrine hcl and sulfate is ephedrine with a compound added and it acts the same way on the CNS as regular ephedrine only it has different molecular weight
Ephedrine HCl is approximately 82% ephedrine by weight.
Ephedrine sulfate is approximately 77% ephedrine by weight.
and Ephedra can be as low as 1% ephedrine by weight.

Ephedra extract contains several different types of ephedrine, resins etc. and has a gentler ramp up/taper to it. Ephedrine HCL is pure ephedrine and imparts a much quicker rise/fall in stim effects.Originally Posted by Ubėr-Anarchist
