Publix New York Strips are approaching $20 a pound, it's pharking nuts. Even Walmart's is $15/lb.

I've hit a point where I can only afford it for special occasions, birthdays etc.
Places like Aldi sell stuff a bit cheaper, but usually very poor quality compared to good steak from a butcher....and according to which an ensign might rank incomparably higher than a general, and according to which what was needed for success in the service was not effort or work, or courage, or perseverance, but only the knowledge of how to get on with those who can grant rewards, and he was himself often surprised at the rapidity of his success, and at the inability of others to understand these things

Join their membership club (it's free) wait for a weekly email on their deals for the week and stock up. Steaks show up every week.
This week my Publix (not sure if company wide) has $10.99 per pound Porterhouses. Gonna go get 4 special cut an inch and a quarter in an hour. I do this almost every time they have a deal. Bone in ribeye deal is usually $12.99 per pound. NY Strip is $10.99 per pound. They do the same with filet mignon too. Never buy full price.
I used to go to a butcher for forever, but when he made his bone in ribeyes $29.99 per pound during covid I said adios. I can't taste any difference between his and Publix. The marbling is no different.

Thanks mang. I'll subscribe. I already had an account because I have the app and sometimes pre-order stuff from the Deli to save time. But I didn't have the emails turned on, every time I make an account on some platform I default to opting out of emails/texts/whatever, less spam, but this one seems worth keeping.

Hold on, didn’t you post pics of yourself making half $1 million on Nvidia calls? Cash 20% of that out, keep 10% for taxes and emergency, and use the other 10% to buy yourself the best steaks for the rest of your life, the **** is the problem?
Personally, I’m lucky to live next to a high level supermarket that has a pretty amazing meat section, I can get aged ribeyes, all kinds of steaks at not too bad of a price, with amazing marbling. And they got prime ribeyes on sale for about 20 bucks a pound.

I dont buy them anywhere. They are too expensive and I dont value them that much. Maybe a special occasion but other wise I pass.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
