There's an Indian reservation about an hour away where it's legal. I need to be careful though, it hits me differently than it did 10 years ago. My brother in law came to visit a month ago and I smoked with him. One single hit from his mini bong ruined my night. Hours of tachycardia, pounding headache, entire body pulsating. Super easy to overdo it

Right now marijuana is a higher schedule than Pepsi. Of course moving it from a class with heroin and fentany1 to steroids is going to hugely affect sentencing.

For example, Federal guidelines for conviction of drug -trafficking- is minimum 20 years for schedule I and 10 for schedule III.

Attorney General Merrick Garland will submit the rescheduling proposal to the White House Office of Management and Budget as early as Tuesday afternoon, a source familiar with the timeline told NBC News.

It’s still a Federal crime, so if you work for the Feds you can’t use it, nor can you use it for many state government jobs that interact with Federal funding, and private businesses are free to drug test you and fire you over it no questions asked. Can’t do that with tobacco or alcohol.

Plus when you buy it in a legal state you have to cart in cash - which is very annoying (so I’m told).
