Sort of...but I would argue that it's not so much the gym in of itself, but just a lot of the faygots that go there.

my first real time working out was when I joined the Army and started doing daily morning PT with my fellow Soldiers. Back then it was mostly body weight stuff, runs, sprints, and ruck marches with SOME weight lifting depending on who was in charge.
I'd say that it felt amazing working out together with your brahs and getting after it every morning, but we were working out for a purpose, not just for looks or whatever. Now a days that spirt is not as big anymore as most people would rather workout alone, and would prefer to don aesthetics building exercises over the types of things we used to do back in the day.
Covid totally changed the game of the fitness level of your average Soldier.#11bangbang

Too abstract.
A man needs fitness goals throughout their life.
Here is the life cycle of exercise:
First goal is for sports.
Second goal is for aesthetics.
Third goal is for losing fat.
Fourth goal is resisting signs of a decaying body (aka for health)
Fifth goal is for bone strengthening to allow daily functionality.
If you tell a teenager to lift/exercise for maintaining health, you're gonna have an anime video game teenager who just doesn't understand what or why, and they will never experience the other goals.
When it comes to exercise and sex, we always talk from the life cycle/state of mind that we are currently in. It leads to boomers lecturing zoomers about the ideals of hard work and a firm handshake, when those Woodstock orgy druggies were the most degenerate generation this country has ever seen. But each stage in life has truth in it, and we have to meet people where they are.
As the goals change throughout your aging process, so do the exercise programs which allows things to stay fresh.
Its important that men and women have these goals as it connects someone with their body, and avoids lethargy while giving a sense of pride/growth.
