About a 15 years ago google was aggressively pushing their own forums. They were not successful, so then they started removing forums from their search results. It was a complete "if we can't have it then no one can" moment. At that time they changed their motto from "do no evil" whatever tf that means to an international entity that controls all communication through monopoly.
Misc died because big tech killed it intentionally. Tech likes to have control over who groups with who, and that's only possible with newsfeed style systems.Boycott foodservice industry crew
