Currently rocking tals helm, belt and wand. Wouldn't mind swapping that out for an occy, arachnids mesh, and Shako or crown of ages.

ammy is a chitty 10 FCR one to hit the breakpoint, def could replace that.

Last thing I could use is a lem rune so I can make a treachery for my merc.

There is no such thing as too much MF% and thinking there is a "sweet spot" affecting drops is not how math works.

Also they didn't turn on "worse drops" for evening play.

Comparing a session of mfing to another is bad, you should compare drops over 100 sessions.

I compared over hundreds of sessions.. is it possible for Blizzard to differentiate between people who bot and people who just MF as much as bots?

I highly doubt you have done a substantial about of MF runs and kept track of everything to compare.

Everyone is mfing, if they aren't they are buying gear which is fine too.

I'm running into being fully geared with 400+ mf so there are less and less upgrades, but like you im waiting for pvp cause that is where the fun is.

Agree that speed > maxing mf. Whatever you can do faster is always better because of how MF scales. The speed loss in farming going from 400 to 450 to 500+ is always never worth it.

I have done thousands of pindle/meph runs since release. I was getting better drops off pindle when I had lower MF


That being said, its honestly looking very appealing to me to buy gear now. Don't know if I'd every pay for an enigma as those run $300.. pretty insane

Had any luck with LK or trav? Andy/Meph/Pind do become grindy after a while.

I just found an ormus (+3 to charged bolt... but the plus to cold % is nice). LMK if you want it (free). Also, I have a white monarch, you can use socket quest for max sockets (4) and make spirit. LMK

MrLlama is great and honestly most of his info are from old forums and d2jsp discussion but I don't agree with him on this one.

This is coming from a brah who used to bot old d2 24/7 and farmed d2jsp fg for years.

400+ mf I always got less uniques. 150-300 were my best loots.

Lost more stuff in the shared stash. Whoever thought it was a good idea for the shared stash to be saved at random intervals instead of when you press save and quit should be fired.

MF does for sure work. Higher the better. However people fail to realize the odds are stacked against you and even at 600% MF you can only get so good drops. I remember playing d3 n maxed difficulty with it being like 1600%++ MF and was a significant difference vs clearing faster with easier difficulty. Same goes with d2.

Here’s a secret, MF the whole game. You’re more bound to getting more rares IMO then mfing the same single boss thousands of times. I feel like they hide it opposed to slaying same monster over n over

Finally got my deaths fathom.

So with the fathom, in MF gear my blizzard is 8.8k. Once I get a sorc torch it will go up to 10k. This is with 60% FHR, 105% FCR, and 320% MF.

For PvP once I switch out to add an Ormus + SoJ + Arach (just need the SoJ) and add a cold facet to my fathom, I should be looking at 13k blizzard.

Pretty satisfied with that.

It's a pretty sweet setup because I barely need to switch anything out for PvP - just my Tal's armor for Ormus Robes, Tal's belt for Arach, and Tal's ammy for Maras (not a priority though).

MF is much better today oddly enough. More uniques/set items..

I was OK with my 3k blizzard lmao. But I have trash gear on my lvl 76 sorc. Having a newborn, waking up early, and a game like Diablo doesn't work well.

Here’s the thing, there is undeniably less people playing today compared to the peak bot days. 15 years ago. Multiple keys/instances running on one machine, creating pindle runs every 30 seconds.

Goes to show Blizzard was tunneled into getting the game released and didn't think much about the upkeep part. It honestly worries me.

Most games nowadays have a billion microtransactions to give easy revenue to developers even when they're doing jack****. But with D2R the retail price is what they get - not as much incentive to maintain the product once it's sold during the hype period. Plus with items being sold for as much as they do in RTM websites, internally they must think server maintenance is for people other than Blizzard to make money.

implemented queue. i can't imagine the game having more players now than during the original version. they somehow decided not to rewrite the part of the code which deals with new server hardware and software, and now they're getting all kinds of login and game creation issues.
