Really hope Dustin doesn’t just stand in the pocket and trade
If he’s gonna do that please use your wrestling and BJJ to tire Conner out and then start trading in the later rounds.... I’m guessing this is a 5 rounder
Dustin is the fukking man, a real champion of a person and I hope he gets his moment to shine here.
Only way I see Dustin winning is if it goes past 2 rounds.

I really doubt that Dustin is going to lose himself in the moment again. Conor has not been rustling his jimmies and he has grown a lot as a fighter.
That being said, Dustin's wrestling will not be a factor in this fight. Conor actually did the best job we've seen so far in defusing Khabib's ground game, so what is Dustin going to do?Permanent reminder that MBisonSon is a fgt => https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=181456073

I just get a bad feeling that Poirier is gonna get Michael Johnson'd
While Dustin is technically a very good boxer/striker, Conor's unorthodox style, quickness, and range I think will catch Dustin by surprise. He's gotta survive the pressure for the first 2-3 rounds then start laying it on Conor. just clinch if he needs to.positivity brah crew

I really like Dustin, but I hope Conor finishes him in convincing fashion... That's the only way we're getting a Khabib rematch.
While a second fight would very likely play out similarly to their first meeting, I'd love to see what Conor is capable of doing against Khabib with the right mindset and a solid camp. He was a dumpster fire, last time.

I think Dustin will weather the storm in the first couple rounds and will progressively pressure Conor. I don’t think he will be able to take Conor down, but I think he will fluster Conor with bursts and clinches, I think he will gradually tire Conor out. I think Dustin gets a TKO finish over Conor.
I also think Chandler will one shot Hooker. Most people think Chandlers route to victory is through wrestling, which that is one route. But I think he will really surprise Hooker with how fast and explosive his punches are. My prediction is Chandler catches Hooker early with a shot, KO victory.Last edited by SicilianPower; 01-21-2021 at 07:32 AM.

He's literally only lost to Khabib since the mayweather fight. The money may have slowed his career but it doesn't mean he still can't dominate.
Also that's a bit of a true point but his head coach seemed honest during the JRE interview. Him and Conor weren't that close and he could tell he wasn't giving it his all but he's come out and said Conors better than ever.

I want to see McGregor win so people's heads will explode again. Although, people seem to doubt him less these days.
I think the long gaps between McGregor's fights is a double edge sword. In one respect, it keeps him fresh and injuries to a minimum. On the other hand, I do believe in ring rust (in spite of Conor ever really showing much sign of it).
We'll see, but I'm going to say Conor TKO rnd 2"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

You know what's weird? I never looked at Conors history of fights until now but it makes me question whether his marketing ability is way ahead of his record? He beat Cerrone on the brink of retirement but before that starched Aldo in 13 so we didn't really see his skills, Diaz loss + majority decision win, declining Mendez and holloway 8 years ago from big names. I guess Alvarez can be thrown in there as well but as far as amazing names, there's only a couple that stand out over the years.
Meanwhile Poirier's got Holloway, Alvarez as well, Gaethje, Pettis, Hooker.
Arguably Poirier has beat better competition.
Having said that, styles make fights and unless Dustin mixes in some takedowns and grappling, Conor will catch him at some point.

Good fuking call bro. Everyone is so enamored with conor like hes untouchable that sometimes we forget to look at everything with a clear mind. Everyone is surprised but let's be real, dustin has went through the ringer since that conor lost, looking at it, it's not even arguable that his resume is better. It's like clearly better lol no doubt. He fights nothing but top contenders. Conor's power definitely doesnt translate as well at 155 dustin took a few clean shots but didnt go down, same shots that knocked him out at 45.
