Greetings all. New to this site. I have had done weightlifting some years ago, but have since gotten back into it recently.
Earlier this year started working out everyday. I was mainly doing cardio to lose fat. At my highest weight I was 250 lbs at 6 feet 2 inches tall. I had a good initial loss of fat by doing a lot of running. By June I was down to 228 lbs and decided to run a half marathon After six or seven months, by late October I was down to 215 lbs. I decided to turn to weightlifting. After cutting what seems like 35 pounds of fat, turning to weights seemed like a good idea. Currently I am doing abs and cardio in the morning for about 30 minutes at my target heart rate around 135 bpm. Later in the afternoon I do weight training six days a week. 2 days are biceps and triceps, 2 days legs, 2 days shoulders chest and back. I have been eating about small meals six times a day trying to balance the carbs and protein (about 40g per meal each) and fats correctly. Resting on Sundays.
Feel welcome to drop me a line. Short term goals are to lose 15 more lbs of fat and gain 5 to 10 lbs of muscle. Not sure on long term at this point, but basically would like to maintain good physical fitness with good eating and exercise.
