Hey guys. I’m 16 right now. 5’8 and 150 pounds. I’m not fat at all. Well I have some belly fat but it’s not noticeable at all. I’m pretty skinny though and was wondering what I should do to get ripped. Like 6 pack abs super nice muscles. Like I don’t wanna be a bodybuilder or anything I just wanna have a nice look to my body. Like I’ve been working out and was wondering how I should eat. Like should I get a protein shake? I was looking at one it’s called isopure infusions protein powder mixed berry whey isolate.
Like I’m trying to eat healthy but some of this crap is horrible tasting or doesn’t have any taste at all. Like I said I want nice abs low body fat nice looking muscles (not those weird looking muscles people have) and yeah that’s about it thanks guys

No. Not at 16. OP, these are your prime growing years, you should not be restricting calories, nor should you be trying to force yourself to eat "horrible tasting food". No need to be strict with what you eat. Eat what Mom cooks. If you're still hungry, eat seconds, then thirds.
Chasing abs at your age is silly and a waste of good testosterone.

It's going to take several years to acquire what you're looking for! Take the advice above and come back and see us when you've got 3-4 years of solid training under your belt.

If you have low body fat you should be able to see your abs. Just try building muscle And in a couple of years or maybe you want to do a show you can cut down. But I would focus on bulking for a few years to get the advantage and usage of your testosterone. Shouldn’t have to worry about macros since we are growing.

It's not recommended that minors count calories as that it has the potential to stunt growth and develop an unhealthy relationship w/ food (see SuffolkPunch's Sticky in /Losing Fat/Attention: Under 18s). This means that early weightlifting should be focused on developing a solid base of muscle mass while getting accuainted with proper technique and programs. Typically calorie counting is not necessary at that stage. It is definetly not a good idea for OP to be putting themself in a calorie deficiency with hopes of seeing abs without prerequisite muscular development.
That being said, i'm 17 and count calories/macros without any issues so its not like theres a golden age where everyone is given the green light.
