I've live in SF for nearly a year now.

My own 1 bed/1 bath, my own parking spot in a nice, residential neighborhood. I pay $1490 for 450 SQ FT which believe me or not, is a great deal in SF.

1. SF is way too expensive to buy a house; I want to live in a major city, not Oakland and get shot and not in a nice suburb an hour away from SF.

2. I'm committed to living in SF longterm, freedom to pick up my bags and leave if a better money opportunity arises.

Vancouver is between the ocean and tall mountains. So there just technically was never much land to begin with. San Francisco is also weird geography.

Sydney is technically the most ridiculous one out of the three. There's no huge ass mountains or a weird peninsula thing happening with Sydney.
