Anyone using rhodiola noticed the opposite effects when dosing daily with caffeine? using it here and there seemed to work fine, but after taking it daily felt unusually more stressed afterwards by normally manageable stuff.

Anyone try that new Coffee flavored Ghost whey yet? Skipped out on it because I just got 2 tubs of the PES Strawberry (shouldve only gotten one lol). Ghost Coffee Ice Cream + Oats = coffee cake?

Outside of this forum and those working at a supplement company or supplement retailer or competing, it's very rare to find a person that knows what the ingredients on the label do outside of caffeine and maybe creatine. In the few and far between people that know what the other ingredients do, it's even more unlikely they know the optimal dose for the general public or there body. Heck, even most employees that work for supplement companies/retailers as well as competitors don't know a whole lot of detail on supplements. We all have our experiences with employees at the 3 letter store that have no idea what they are talking about.

Like your last line says, an energy boost and some tingles and it's there favorite preworkout.

i dont know about you guys but i generally educate my wife about what i take regardless if she's interested haha

guess i assumed that you guys, who actually read labels and have wives who work out or "work out" would at least do them a service and tell them what ingredients do/are for/etc

Playing devil's advocate... does she read the ingredient labels to know what's in them? i mean... if she did then she would realize the dosages and be able to compare and not take 1/2 scoop as recommended lol

i mean some people think a pre works because it makes them tingle but it may only have like 125mg of caff and some nitrates...

If she did, she would realize it had at least one ingredient she had never taken before, and a reasonable person might conclude that the 1/2 serving tolerance assessment is wise for a new ingredient.

And, I mean, some people think every dietary supplement out there has exactly what the label says, no more, no less, and nothing else...and some of us know better. Safe practice is to assess tolerance with any new product or even new lot.

She asked what the differences were as a follow up when I recommended trying it for the "stronger" pre she asked about. So she knew it had a stimulant type ingredient (theacrine) that she hadn't had before, now that you mention it

Lol, well that's good you at least tried! Family, friends, randoms....I just keep out of the preworkout disagreements. I'll mention my favorites and when they say ones I think are terrible, I opt to keep my mouth shut. Not worth the discussion

I think it makes a good shake if you mix it with almond milk, but I think it's next level **** in oats.

Not negative at all. Reading instructions, reading labels, and doing what they say is a good idea. Not jumping right in at the full or max dose is a good idea, as we see with some people and some products from time to time. Just catches me off guard when somebody actually does it...and not surprised women are more likely to

Good call. I think I will quit beating my head against a wall, and be there for him in case he wants to know more in his own time. As long as he isn't doing any damage, it isn't worth the disagreements!

I like it, and its solid in oats, but expected more out of it tbh. It tastes more like strawberries and cream to me

It just came out on Thurday the 12th so I doubt anyone has gotten around to it that quick unless they work for Ghost. I was going to buy it but I still have Animal Whey Glazed Donut and Mocha Cappucino so I'm passing for now. Not the biggest coffee flavored fan.

Picked up a box of the chocolate peanut butter and cinnamon roll Kirkland protein bars at Costco yesterday.





Tried the cinnamon roll today. It was ok but I expected something better. The texture is chewy and soft. The end bites have a weird grainy type texture to it for some reason. You get a bit of the cinnamon roll taste but not enough for me personally. The macros are on point though so that's always a good thing.

I still prefer their cookie dough bar overall. I'll try the peanut butter chocolate tomorrow.

Thanks for the link EYS, seems like I might be one of the (un)lucky ones on this, I'll have to try different dosages as the article says and find the most suitable, Rhodiola is generally a pretty solid ingredient.

As soon as there's a stim or stim combo in there that I haven't used, I usually do the same. Didn't think of it as being a woman thing before, but now that you mention it, when my gym buddies forget their preworkout and use mine, the guys are more likely to automatically double scoop whatever it is (regardless of whether a full serving is a scoop or two scoops or whatever) and the girls are more likely to ask me how to dose it. All about equal in how seriously they take their training, and fairly comparable Wilks scores, so it's not like it's comparing serious dudes and beginner women or vice versa.
