Hitting PRs on my own 6 week cycle.. 5kg on Squats and 2.5KG on bench..
Deadlift PR is still nowhere to be found. 8 months of no PR. Feelsbadman.
I'm starting to accept the reality that my deadlift won't improve anymore lol.
Literally did everything there is, and still no sign of life.
The problem is = My deadlift peaks in 2 weeks after that it the e1rm dips down.. THere isn't much to do in 2 weeks.
Anyone knows how to prolong a peak of a lift?
Bruh.. I didn't expect it to be that sad.. I feel bad for him.
Agreed lol.
I make it my job to defend the IPF now in every single thread that hates on the IPF lol.
I see you doing that too HA!Last edited by AFC96; 01-29-2018 at 11:15 AM.

At this point I mostly just make sarcastic comments lol.
Eh yes and no. It was getting ridiculous with the IG spam of everyone's favorite 5 lifters. I remember seeing someone posting a video of Candito benching 275x8 or something and getting 100 upvotes. And Rubish doing 15 pullups. Every single Jesse Norris / John Haack vid used to get posted on there even typical workout sets of 10. Meanwhile Vlad Alhazov squatted 500kg raw w/ wraps and it got like no attention lol.

Umm mostly yes.. template stays the same for the 7 weeks.. just the rep ranges changed and for the first 3 weeks I did snatch grip deadlifts while the last 3 weeks I did deficit deadlifts. Both are for high rep accessory/
Rep ranges for the comp lifts were: 5,6,5, deload , 3,4,1
I hit a deadlift rep PR on week 2, and match my all time single @8 PR at week 6.
Both of those lifts happened are 2 weeks into a microcycle, which is expected.
I hit an all time PR for Squat and Bench on week 3 and 7.
Which is 3 weeks into a microcycle, which is also expected.
My squats/bench is still very reactive, I can do any rep ranges/template as long as Im squatting at least 2x/week and benching 4x/week it will go up.
I've asked all my online coaches, why does my deadlift peaks in 2 weeks, and both didn't give me a satisfactory answer.
Asked Mike T abt it, he says my set up might be wrong, but that couldn't be the case as I was coached by RTS lolLast edited by AFC96; 01-30-2018 at 09:23 AM.

I’m referring to the accessories deadlift be it pause, deficit or what ever you decide.
The post sounds like you’ve gone through all the different accesory lifts in a short amount of time. What I’m saying is that the accesory shouldn’t be rotated for 8 weeks (4 weeks if it’s aboslutly wrecking everything else you do and I personally don’t agree with that).
And deadlifts are funky for me. I will go on PR shreds then hit a wall for months. Then go on more PR shreds. And sometimes the accesory work doesn’t show benefits for a long time. I could barely do TnG for 405x5 and hadn’t done them for years. Finally made TnG a goal and got it up to 505x5. A month later and I’m reaping the benefits of it.

So, I just went ahead and ventured into Reddit. What a jumbled mess. Only thing I found worth a thing were some cool posts by Mr. Hamburger.

I can tell you right now Kabuki bars are not worth their price at all. The release has been a complete chit show.
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=174539511
Cliffs:
-I backed up Chris as a cool helpful guy
-I had one ordered that was marked as in stock as did many others
-saw what crappy sales tactics they have and over hyped marketing
-Canceled order with no regret after how f'd up they played a wounded vet as a last straw. I was feeling irritated already
-Weeks to months went that people didn't get their "in-stock" bars
-People finally started to get them
-People were not happy at all with the quality especially for what they paid
-Kabuki gave excuses because of how great the steel is
-Some got bars sent back
-Month later got replacement that did look better
-Bill from Rogue calls out Kabuki on their marketing hype
-I have no regrets in canceling my order. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Wow, just glanced that thread over. I didn't know any of that was going on. I do remember laughing when he did the bar on bar durability test. Its just a hardness test, nothing more. Tells me his bar will snap before others will. Not that I've ever seen anything close to a bar snapping. Rogues ohio power bar for about half price is the way to go. I own two, they are awesome.
I also have been disapointed in their quality overall. Bought a duffalo bar and shoulderok. The duffalo bar sleeves wouldn't allow my calibrated plates to slide on. The sleeves OD was too big. Brady Cable sent me new sleeves, and the tooling to change them out (which was really nice), but the new sleeves were the same way. I never bothered putting them on. I ended up just shaving down the sleeves until the plates fit. Never got to bare metal either just the coating. The coating was SUPER thick.
According to a recent IG post, Matt is inviting the top 3 of each category. Doesn't say if that means only 3 lifters per weight class is allowed or if its open to signups after those top 3 are invited. Also claims the goal is 150k prize money total, but that is dependent on donations by vendors.
I like the idea of vendors putting up money to award top lifters. If nothing else, it gives the sport some publicity and the vendors are basically paying for advertising. Should help grow the sport, so I'm on board.Last edited by Rags85; 01-31-2018 at 10:06 AM.

I've not seen it happen in person but I've heard of a few barbells breaking. It's not common at all. But yeah the higher the tensile strength typically the more brittle the bar gets. Anything over 190k is more then adequate for our needs.

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko
