My initial thoughts were that he just did it so he would seem like a victim - he must've known there were no way out no matter what he said. But considering he was a psycopath, what would he care what people thought? I believe that people like Ted Bundy need to be isolated from the rest of society, executed even.

But I do not believe they should be tortured, or punished out of vengeance, because I do not believe it was his fault per say. As I do not believe he had a choice in the matter. Until DNA and shared offender databases, and cctv, it was so much easier to get away with this kind of sh!t. Against the context of the silent majority, I think it is just a handful of crazy bishes.
It's the nature of extremism that the loudest, stupidest, most far out make themselves highly visible/get attention and the normal folks don't (same with muslims for example).

For all the women 'mirin' that dude Meeks, there are millions who think 'jail-bird, gang-banger - real high class ". Plus maybe it's changed now, but he was undoubtedly pretty poor then, and that's not attractive to many women. As you've said, his crimes are low key & 'acceptable' (I'm guessing, don't know the details); so he attracts a level of silly/crazy but not the level required to go for serial killers.


The bad-boy thing - yeah, there is something in that; but again you'll find it's trashier, more unstable, low self esteem women. More sensible women might be vulnerable to the bad boy thing when (very) young; but they wise up pretty quickly. Let's face it, most of us can be pretty fkn stupid when we're young.

Where it applies, suppose it's because 'bad boy'/dark triad/sociopath men often do well in attaining resources .. and resources are among the top priorities for women in seeking a mate. He seems like an actor playing in a TV show with all these dramatic pauses and his exaggerated facial expressions. You can really see he lacks authenticity.
