Seriously considering going back to the gym come December. For one I am starting to get depressed, two I am getting angry much quicker than I normally do, the gym has been my outlet in controlling my temper.
My shoulder is feeling great, there is some minor pain when I move in a certain way but for the most part it is feeling great. My surgeon gave me the green light to hit the gym 6-8 weeks after my surgery, although we had some setbacks and I was still in a lot of pain within that time frame. I am going to call him come Monday as I am sure there are close for the holidays, but I am hoping he gives me the OK to go back.
What I don't want to do, is fck something up and then push myself back, I am excited right now as I think my shoulder is actually fix, the only thing I don't have is the ROM that I would like but that is because my tendons and ligaments have had that short ROM for over 4 years now and I believe they just need to be stretched and we can do that with Physical Therapy.

3 months off and I'm guessing you still look bigger and better than half of us here. It must be depressing, but I'm guessing in a month or two you'll be back to your old self...so don't rush it and fuk yourself up again.
Take some pics now (not in your underwear ), so we can have some good "before and after" pictures to look at in a couple months.

I had bicep and shoulder surgery over the past 2 years. I waited about 3 weeks each time before heading back to the gym (with my doctors permission). I don't know if I could wait three months. I would go if I were you. Use common sense, but don't be afraid to push yourself a little bit. I pushed pretty hard and had full range of motion in my shoulder after 2 weeks. Strength needed to be built up again and there was still some pain. It did not take long before I fully recovered from both surgeries. Good luck to you!!

I wouldn't touch a weight until the doctor says you are 100% cleared to resume that activity.
I am living with an inoperable torn RC, and I was 100% cleared to do whatever I wanted. Happened several years after the repair. While I'm no doctor, I suspect mine was far more durable (and very well tested) than a 3 month old repair. I completed the tear doing warm up reps of 190lbs on BP, with absolutely no warning of weakness or pain. It just ripped (sounded like a strip of Velcro being pulled apart).
Enjoy the holiday, and get with the doctor one last time next week. Let them know your "regular" activity is far different than most folks who have this repair done.If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

I had hernia surgery back in May. Really sucked. Never had a surgery before in my life so I wasn't sure what to expect except what the doctors were telling me. First thing I learned, never trust a surgeon that tells you "its not a big deal its a pretty simple surgery." Ya easy and simple for the surgeon, for the patient it still hurts like hell! They also told me I could be back at work the next day, wrong! Maybe if you sit in a chair the whole day for work you could show up but you still wouldn't be productive cause you all hopped up on pain killers. I doubt even then though since it hurt like hell just to stand up.
Took over three months before I even attempted to do dead lift "movement" and by that I mean 25 pd bumper plates on each side and basically just stretching. No way was I squatting or leg pressing. It took almost 5 months before I felt no pressure or pain in that area while lifting. Pacing around the gym watching everyone else squat and dead lift really really sucked. At last though, I am fully healed and lifting like normal. Every day I walk through those gym doors I am grateful for the ability to lift how I want to lift. Amen brother.Get your ass in the gym period!
