The jump is expected - going off convention bounces Clinton's is about middle of the pack.
What's interesting, though, is how much wider of a gap exists post-convention. Per Gallup, the average spread post-convention is 5%, so Clinton-Trump's 9 is a significant deviation from that (t-test, p = 0.041).
