Well misc brahs, do you guys ask out women anymore? I asked this girl out on a date, and she was shocked that I did, and commended me on having the balls to do it. Has social media made us socially retarded? Or is the fear of rejection just that strong?

Now that I think about it, almost every time I have asked a girl out, I've been complimented on my approach. It seems guys either cat call or just send a message on tinder/********.

lol I remember a few year ago this girl legit thought I was weird as fuk because I didn't have a FB. Friends/followers matter for some folks I guess, which is dumb as hell. Agree 100% with the bold, and that's why I do it. As for my coworker, I don't mind, the job isn't too serious. I'm a bartender and she's a server I don't think it should be that big of a deal if things go south.

The trick with the shy women is that you have to go slower for them to warm up -- its like a shy neighbor's cat, you can't just walk up and try to pet it or it'll bolt.

Suppose her name is Tina, then you just say "Good morning, Tina" or something very short where she hears her name for a week or so. If she's particularly shy, she won't even say anything back initially, but after a while she should warm up to you and become more comfortable. It should be obvious in her body language when she is more receptive.

With shy women you just have to go slower, and not get frustrated if you don't get much in reciprocation for a while. Eventually they get comfortable, and then you can start conversing with them more, and then start with casual stuff like inviting them to grab some coffee with you after work, etc. That's just the way it is; if you approach them in a too direct/extroverted way they just retreat and you won't reach them at all.

Honestly it's this. When women say they never get asked out it's for one of several reasons.

1. They legit never leave their house
2. They don't count the guys that ask them out that are unattractive
3. They don't count the tons of guys that talk to them out of the blue, feel them out as being uninterested, and then never pull the trigger on asking for a number or date because the guy thinks it's not worth it. I honestly feel like this is the most common reason, women (especially attractive ones) just assume men are naturally going to talk to them, try to get to know them, etc. and don't realize this is actually guys covertly trying to get some action and that the average man never has people going up to them at bars, clubs, bookstores, etc. trying to talk to them. Most women don't even realize that 99% of the time a guy talks to them out of the blue, it is an attempted pickup.
