3 months ago, I went back in the gym after a long layoff. I do a 5x5 novice program. everything goes well for 3 weeks, then suddently my right outer wrist hurts really bad even when Im benching the bar during my warmup. I take a break. fast foward, to 3 weeks ago. I get back into it and everything goes great. heres the kicker, last week I get the same problem.
any ideas why this could happen? any tips? it's getting annoying. I never had this before in the last 5 years Ive been lifting.
thanks in advance.

Have you had it xray'd? I've gotten stress fractures in my forearm and wrists from over-doing it. Then there's all the ligaments and tendons and muscles and bones and... other stuff. Lots of things it could be. No way for anyone to know for sure over the internet. You could a)take it easy until it goes away; repeat every time it happens again b) see a doctor, maybe get a diagnosis and solution; maybe not.
Wraps probably wouldn't hurt.455/305/505
